We recently went on an Art Bites (& Sips) tour of Coffs Harbour. My partner and I spent an afternoon cruising around Coffs enjoying local cuisine, beverages and works of art. Our host, Awia, was very knowledgeable of the local scene and conducted the tour at a pace that was comfortable. We highly recommend taking a tour. David

The best foodie spots of Coffs we were about to find
Off I set with Awia my expert tour guide
Walking the CBD streets of Coffs far and wide
What a great tour - can I do it again?
Or perhaps give it as a gift to a friend
We did Asian, Indian, Afghan, Vegan and Raw
Fresh food markets, handmade crafts and more
Time flew by - was that really 3 hours
Now we have a delicious organic lunch to devour

We were very excited to discover a vegetarian food waking tour for Coffs Harbour and it was a great way to discover the delightful food scene in Coffs.
Awia is an excellent tour guide - she provided background and history of the various places we visited and had great relationships with all the providers.
We were give lovely goodie bags with a range of treats, and tried a great range of sweet and savoury food, as well as exploring some great specialty grocery stores. The highlight was a delicious lunch at a local cafe - an unassuming exterior and location disguising a stellar foodie experience.
As newcomers to the area, it was a great way to try new venues.
Awia clearly puts a lot of thought and care into designing and running her tours and it was lovely to spend time with her. I’m keen to do another one sometime!

Awia was the consummate tour guide offering us a rare insight into the food and arts culture of Coffs Harbour. A thoroughly unique and enjoyable experience, we got to enjoy the delights of the local markets, savour some yummy foods, visit some of the smaller art galleries in town and interact with some of local traders and artists. As visitors to the area, this tour gave us a very thorough overview as to what Coffs has to offer and left us wanting for more. A real treat that I would recommend to both visitors and locals wanting to know more about their city.

Looking for something to do on forecast wet weekend, we decided a first time visit to the Tramsheds would be the go. Looking for information, I stumbled over the tour and lunch event, thinking this might be an informative way to run our visit.
Well it was informative and so much more. From the email asking about dietary requirements and the first names of my group, I thought we were going to be guided by someone who cared.
Well Awia cared and a whole lot more! Awia's tour and knowledge of the venue was second to none. She added so much more to the experience covering history, individual providore backgrounds, quality food tips all delivered with care and kindness.
Then to top it all off, organised a sumptuous lunch leaving us all very full and contented. I could not recommend doing this tour highly enough for someone visiting the Tramsheds for the first time.
Well done to Awia, we'll be back to do another tour again soon!

This is my second tour with Awia, so I knew that I in for a treat.
I had not been to the Marrickville markets located in Addison Avenue before, and hadn't realised that along with the sunday markets, there were distinct spaces dedicated to all things sustainable - fair trade store, furniture (and other items) restoration, massive warehouse full of items for any number of craft projects one could think of. All these, on top of the interesting market stalls we visited (including two fully certified organic produce stalls) added such unique dimension to the tour. Awia even educated us on organic vs conventional vs spray-free produce which was just lovely, information that I will carry to my future visits to any other markets I might visit.
We ended with the loveliest of picnic lunches, all sourced from the markets themselves - great tasting produce and food, and fabolous chai to wash it all down.
I will definitely be back for more tours with her, as I, a life long Sydneysider explore more places that I have taken for granted in my very own city.

The food tour was so much more than just being taken around the markets. I loved the history of the site and the buildings almost as much as the food. Awia had a great report with the stall holders and we had a wide range of experiences, information and tastings from potatoes to breads and spreads. We tasted so much I thought there was no room for Awia's incredible lunch spread till I saw it and started. What a great way to spend a few hours. Great way to spend a few hours and learn more about why what we eat can taste so much better. Thank you Awia.

I have lived in Sydney all my life, and I have never been to (or heard of) the Tramsheds Markets until now.
What a fantastic way to find out through Awia's Transheds Market Tours! Awia knows all the fantastic pop-up's that are the highlights of the markets, and we got to take a bit of time and chat to the stall owners who were more than happy to give us delicious free samples (and we ended up purchasing all of them after tasting in any case!). Lunch was included, which was a lovely way to sit and chat with other food-lovers on our tour group. Not to mention we chose one delicious pastry to take home (mine never made it home, I ate it at the adjacent park!).
I highly recommend not only the tour itself, but Awia as her tour style is relaxed and informative, yet a lot of freedom for the attendees. The only problem was that the tour wasn't long enough!
I can't wait to go on another tour with Awia! Thank you so much for having me.

My partner and I explored the Tramsheds Markets with Awia and absolutely loved it. We spent the morning sampling so many delicious gourmet treats then sat down to a delightful lunch with the other tour participants - what better way to spend a Sunday morning with good food and meeting new people. Then as a bonus we each chose a pastry treat to take home with us. Would definitely recommend!

Awia met us and ran through the 'need-to knows' and off we went. She listened to us and incorporated our interest in History as we passed various points. There was plenty of time to look at each display and hear some details of the artists etc.
The break for a snack was welcome before we did the loop around the Botanic Gardens to see more displays. At the end Awia returned us to the train station which was a bonus for us being unsure of directions.
Thank you for a very pleasant and informative tour.
