The stairs are within the structure of the pylon. It isn’t possible to see outside from the stairs

The 200 steps are not high steps and there are 3 levels, so she won't have to walk all of them at once. There is no lift, unfortunately. Plenty of seating once outside. You need to factor in also the steps needed to get to the base of the pylon. If you are coming from the south end, there is a series of steps from Cumberland Street in The Rocks. Look for the square concrete building "BRIDGE STAIRS". There are benches placed at each level of steps there as well. the view from the top of those stairs is very good too, just before you get onto the bridge proper.

No need to buy tickets in advance, it’s usually not that busy. If you’re planning on doing the Bridgeclimb aswell, they’ll give you complimentary pylon entrance tickets. If I remember correctly the fee is about 15$ each. Less for discounts (elderly and children).

The stairs are in Pylon it's self so it not scary and once u are at the top the fence is so high it didn't worry me.

Walk up and pay entrance 10-15 min fiepende how much People are there. Enjoy the view take some photos 30-40 min. Walk down and watch the film and the Museum 30-40 min. So round about 1,5 h .
