Son and hubby climed to the top to see the wonderful views it was 16 pln for hubby and 8 pln for son. They enjoyed it. Top tip the bells go of at 12 so you def dont want to be in the stairwell at that time

I read a review before visiting that claimed a capacity of 25000; incredibly difficult to believe that. It isn't very character full, not helped by the white washed walls either. There is a fair bit to deserve interest though and it's certainly worth seeing. I just think the level of reviews is too high

Attended the 12 o clock Sunday service.
Well worth spending time here, even to pay one's respects to the Gdansk President (Mayor) who was sadly stabbed to death by a madman.
Some very impressive side chapels, paintings and religious artefacts. And my favourite was the Ferrer funeral plaque on one side of the altar - a wealthy Gdansk family.
To get the real feel of it good to attend a service to look at the magnificent gilt altar and the astrological clock. I think it is the 12 apostles followed by the figure of death with his scythe who pop out at 12 o clock.

St. Mary's church is well worth a visit when in Gdansk. There are a lot of interesting things to see inside the church, with the most impressive being the astronomical clock. I also got the chance to climb up to the top of the tower, however, the views didn't meet my expectations. You can only see clearly from one side of the top of the tower, as the rest is blocked by the roof. And even the part that wasn't blocked, there was a very high railing that it was difficult to ignore to enjoy the view. Despite that, you can get some great photos from that partial view.

Das Bauwerk ist überwältigend. Durch Ihre Schlichtheit kommen die Kunstschätze Altar, Kanzel, Orgel bestens zur Geltung Die Turmbesteigung lohnt sich: man sollte gut zu Fuß sein. Hervorragender Ausblick bis zur Halbinsel Hel.

amazing views of the entire city all the way out to the coast. anxiety inducing spiral staircase followed by another staircase with a huge drop down the middle, but the panic attack half way up was definitely worth the view. maybe we're just whimps because there were literal children speeding past us on the stairs. the church itself inside was breathtakingly beautiful :'-) the gift shop had really lovely amber jewellery too!

La partie payante est la montée dans le clocher pour le panorama. Il y a plus de 400 marchés à monter. Au dessus du clocher, la terrasse est très petite. La montée coûte 14 zl à payer absolument en cash.

It is truly amazing to walk through the vast hall of this magnificent church. Although the interior is mostly whitewashed brick, the size will take your breath away. It's one of the world's largest brick churches, and you can really feel it when you're there. Also, climb the 408 steps to the top of the bell tower for a spectacular view of the city. Please keep in mind that tickets for the tower are only available in cash. No credit cards are accepted.

Really big church. At noon there's a wooden clock that makes quite a show :) There's also a tower where you get a great view of the city.

Добрый день! Посещение костела бесплатное вне служб. Открывается, по-моему, в 9 часов утра или раньше... За отдельную плату можно подняться на башню со смотровой площадкой...
