The Golden Gate is not golden at all: it's greyish with a few decorations in Gold. When I visited Gdansk, there were works going on at the gate, and it was partially hidden.

Tussen de gouden poort en de groene poort ligt de mooiste straat van Gdansk, Dluga street.
Mooie inkom of uitgang van de stad.

Arco trionfale romano costruito nel 1612. Porta d'oro che prende il suo nome dalla doratura che una volta la rivestiva. Oggi è di colore bianco con piccoli dorati. Attualmente, al passaggio sotto l'arco la zona è recintata per lavori di manutenzione.

Acted as our starting point for our free Walkative tour. The tour guide provided some history of the gate before we headed into the Old Town.
The Golden Gate is a historic Renaissance city gate in Gdańsk, Poland. It is located within the Royal Route, the most prominent part of the historic city center.
It was created in 1612–14 in place of a 13th-century gothic gate, the Brama Długouliczna (Long Street Gate). It is located at one end of Ulica Długa where, together with Brama Wyżynna (Highland Gate) and Wieża Więzienna (Prison Tower), it forms a part of the old city fortifications.
One side of the gate was under renovations but the beautiful parts of the gate were still visible.
Worth passing through as you head towards Long Street for dinner or shopping.

Diversa da tante altre, più simile alla Wyzynna ed alla Zielona che alla Chlebnika ed alla Mariacka; intendo dire che queste sembrano e sono effettivamente Porte di accesso alla Città e non passaggi all'interno della stessa. La Zlota Brama è imponente, da una parte e dall'altra ci sono quattro grandi colonne e nella parte superiore ci sono quattro statue per lato Una bella opera che risale alla fine del 17° secolo. In gran parte distrutta dai bombardamenti è stata ricostruita dopo la 2^ guerra mondiale.
