Simply outstanding customer service when I had some things came up and I needed to reschedule. They were quick to respond and very accommodating.

It truly is what sets us apart from the other 'like-genre' tours in the area; your tickets are guaranteed until used, and transferable if you are unable to attend, but you know a friend or family member who might enjoy a good National Nightmares Haunted History Walking Tour.

This was easily one of the most interesting and thoughtfully put together ghost tours I've ever been on. National Nightmares not only tells you spooky stories about well-known historical figures but they also take the time to speak with current employees of haunted buildings to here THEIR stories & relate them back to us on tour. They clearly care about the paranormal and will tell you fascinating stories you will certainly not hear from any other tour - these aren't stories you can find on Google. These are personal accounts from real people who have had paranormal experiences!

Our group did the haunted tour at night with Samuel Chase.
He was a wonderful tour guide to our group of ~30 people. Between his fun voices and remembering people's name, Chase is a thoughtful and attentive guide through the DC sights. This tour is great for those looking for a historical tour flavored by fun, humor, and fright.
Not as much walking on this tour, so dress for the weather more than anything else!

National Nightmares was great! The haunted history tour was fun and engaging, everyone in our group had a blast! They were a great company to work with, very helpful and responsive. Samuel Chase was an excellent guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and a skilled speaker!

Samuel Chase was the BEST guide on this tour! He gave us all the inside details and was so informed on all of the different stories/history of DC. I’ve been to DC a bunch of times, but this is the first time doing a ghost tour. This is a must on your next visit, I would highly recommend!

This walking tour is a DC must-do, particularly around Halloween! My friends and I enjoyed learning the history, the spooky stories, and seeing the sights taking this walking tour at night. There is much more to this tour, also, in terms of substance and you really feel you get your money's worth.

Forgive the delay in our response; it has been a busy season and just about turkey and stuffing is when we've time to catch up. Thank you for your emphasis on the value of this experience. It is something that has grown over the years, as we explained, and is the primary reason why locally licensed, owned, and operated is the only way to go. While other possibly plagiarized paranormal pastiches may prevail due to over reaching advertising and fat SEO, it is the longevity of the REAL local tour that shall long endure. People keep telling us to write a book... I suppose the time has come.

I bought a ticket for this tour on a whim after seeing it recommended in the Washingtonian. The tour consisted of stopping outside major buildings in Capital Hill (the Capital Building and Library of Congress), and learning about supernatural/haunted events that occurred there while simultaneously weaving in stories about DC's history and founding.
Our tour guide was INCREDIBLE. Not only was he deeply knowledgeable about DC's political, historical, and 'haunted' history, his storytelling and humor kept our group completely engaged the entire time - the tour was just under two hours, but it flew by! Multiple people in our group compared his storytelling and comedic style to Robin Williams, which I 100% agree with. I was also very happy to support a local tour group, as our guide explained that the majority of similar tours in the area were owned/operated by out-of-state corporations, and theirs was one of the few that were locally owned and operated.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to get a crash course on the history of DC as a city, alongside some fun ghost stories. Good for kids/families, as there's no jumpscares or anything like that - just history, comedy, and ghost stories!

And I was all to happy to deliver an INCREDIBLE experience. The knowledge we have comes from the continual research we do and stories from those who trust us with their own experiences inside those same buildings we only ever seem to glimpse from the outside. I do hope someday, we might be able to actually enter a few, after hours... with proper security of course.
The next time you decide on a whim, perhaps a private experience of Paranormal Park - our Lafayette Square experience, or even Old Town Alexandria, also private. We are here to serve.
