Kleurrijker en geurender kun je het niet krijgen. Mooi om de grote bloemenmarkt te bekijken. Er zijn ook veel verschillende groenten. Tussendoor koffiedrinken bij Napasorn en organic lunchen bij Farm to table. Top uitstapje!

Je m’attendais à mieux. Les stands de fleurs le long de la rue sont jolis, c’est une explosion de couleurs… et de plastique car chaque fleur/bulbe est emballé dans du plastique !

Flower market which also has lots of stalls selling fruit and vegetables. Prices are good and people are friendly if you have money.
We go to buy fruit and vegetables by the kilo as the quality and price are excellent, And we also get to look at all the flowers.

Denna marknad som ligger vid Jakkrapet Road och intill floden som rinner förbi kommer man helst med båt till. Helt unik. Givetvis är detta ett måste att se i Bangkok. Fullt av frukter, grönsaker och lokalt tillverkade matvaror.

We arrived at Sanam Chai metro station and the Flower Market was well sign-posted.
The Flower Market is covered, so it was nice to shelter inside and escape a heavy rainfall.
The Market seems to be bisected by a major road, and each side seems to have fruits/veg and flowers (lots of marigolds, roses, orchids). On one side there is also a shrine.
Eating is more challenging here as we didn’t find a lot on offer, but we did find a street-side restaurant selling pad-Thai and noodles - AND we could sit down - for 50 THB, and both were fantastic.
I did feel a bit voyeuristic in the market, but nobody seemed to mind our being there. Occasionally a motorbike would whizz through the market, and plenty of men pulling enormous wicker baskets - one even had an old lady in it!
We enjoyed it and found it very vibrant.

Bustling local flower and fruit market. Predominantly for temple/shrines. It's great to see a slice of local life and everyone is so friendly. Some bargains to be had too and don't forget to negotiate. When finished can get the bus or the boat

We happened to come across this market while out and about - it was amazing to see, so interesting and varied … I love it ! We bought the little white flower bracelets for all the children and ourselves and they lasted for days … defiantly go and buy something while your there ;)

I am getting married in Phuket and have a family member going to Bangkok, who has offered to get flowers and greenery for me before the wedding as my wedding planner is charging a bomb for flowers.
Is it possible to get in touch with a vendor to ore order what I need?
Any additional advise would be much appreciate.

There are several vendors at the market and they all want to sell. I bought flowers on my visit and it is very affordable. However, I don’t know if they can assist you in transporting them to Phuket.

They open pretty early. 5 AM. If you can get there early before the afternoon, before the tourists and the crowds comes.

They say that the best time is at about 4 or 5 a.m. We've only been during the afternoon and early evening and there's always been plenty of flowers to see in the many stalls selling them. Personally, I think that there's an advantage to going at a quieter time - you have more direct access to see the flowers without many people rushing around you making deliveries or trying to make their sales/purchases.
