Ingredients and portions are well prepared by cooking school. Learnt a lot about thai cooking style. also get to bring back the cook book and try it at home. Very useful and fun experience at reasonable price!

For 800 baht....this cooking class cannot be topped. Cozy area. Pot, our chef teacher, was friendly and informative. Great mix of people from all over cooked with us. Ten in our group and didn't feel overly crowded. I made spicy soup with sweet basil (Tom Klong), drunken noodle, spring rolls， penang curry and banana in syrup with coconut cream. Really enjoyed making homemade curry paste. Nothing overly difficult...just fun. We got a virtual cookbook to take home as well. Great value! Do not miss!

We did the morning half day at Siam Rice cookery school. It was an amazing experience! A very welcoming and helpful cooking instructor Ann who spoke very good English and had a great sense of humour. Fresh ingredients, easy to follow instructions, delicious meals produced as a result. A long list of recipes to choose from. Would recommend!

We did the full day course, and from the moment we started off at the market we had a smile on our face. The group ranging in age from 11-48 enjoyed every moment of the day. Its a must spent day.

My Wife and I did the dinner class and it was an awesome time. They picked us up from our hostel in Old Town and took us to the place where the class was held.
Ms. Nina and An were our instructors and they were friendly, funny, helpful and extremely informative! We each made an appetizer, a soup, a noodle dish, a curry and a desert and you can take whatever you don’t eat to go.
All in all it was a great time and we highly recommend to anyone looking to do a cooking class while in Thailand. Tremendous value.

One word - amazing! You have have have to go and experience this. Nina & Ann were great teachers and made the class a lot of fun! They speak very good English and I learnt so many recipes to take home to my family. Beautiful setting, great kitchen. Just perfect. I will never forget this. Thank you.

Nous avons fait la journée complète, à 5 ce qui est idéal. Beaucoup de choix de plats, plus que la plupart des concurents. Équipe organisée et sympatique. Plein de temps pour apprecier vos créations avec vos mates.

What an amazing experience. Able to choose the dishes you want to prepare with the ability to modify as desired. Pot who runs the school is a great guy and made the experience a lot of fun. Make sure you show up hungry since the amount of food you prepare and eat is insane. They send you recipe books at the end of the night. Highly recommended.

Amazing cooking experience in Chiangmai!! My daughter and I had fun in a half day cooking class with Pot(cooking instructor). He is very friendly and fun and he thoroughly educated us about the Thai herbs that went into making our dishes. His dishes are simple to make and flavorful.

How far in advance would we have to book for a small or private class?

Hey we booked it the day of in the morning but it was low season and we were only two people. I would do it a couple days in advance but don't worry too much about it

I believe we used cash, but we didn't book our class with the company, we booked with our hostel (the green tulip house) and paid for it there

Is this school good for a vegetarian?

They seemed to be very accommodating to all food intolerances, allergies and preferences, so yes I am sure all dishes would be able to be prepared without meat or with tofu. But, a key component of most Thai food is fish sauce, which may not be appropriate for some vegetarians.

We cooked with our five year old who helped each of us rather than separately. This worked well as it meant good supervision while allowing them to join in with chopping, chucking ingredients in the wok/pot.
