We loved it! Found this sanctuary on a responsible tourism site as it was important to me that we visited an ethical elephant place. The relationship between the elephants and the staff is clearly a loving one and we felt safe throughout the day… even when we were very up close.
It is hard to really do the day justice with words, but we will treasure the experience for many years.
Communication was great and the collection/organisation excellent. Lovely lunch and water also provided. Great value for money.

Oh wow just feel elated. Had a fabulous time with the elephants and their keepers. Very honest and informative and the elephants were amazing. Fed, walked and bathed with them and got great photos. Lunch provided was delicious. Great all round experience. I would truly recommend and will come back and do a home stay visit. Best sanctuary in Chiang Mai 😃😃

This elephant venue is further out from Chiang Mai than the alternatives we have been to or researched. This means that the full day option is to be recommended for sure. It is also the best we have been to, with plenty of interaction with a variety of elephants and local Karen. Lunch in a waterfall lookout and a chill nap before resuming the trail was most welcome.

We had such a good time at the Elephant Freedom Village. We learnt alot about the Elephants and also the way of life of the Karen people. The Elephants were very gentle and friendly and were clearly well looked after. All in all loved it !!

It was one of the best experiences of my life !
The guides are really nice, the lunch was delicious and the elephants are really well treated. They are not forced to do anything.
If I come back to Thailand, I would do this tour again with this business family without hesitation.

It was a perfect day, the people who welcomed us were lovely, the food was very good and we saw that the elephants were happy and well taken care of.

Great experience fir us and the 🐘 all 7 of them. Great explination of how the animals co exist with humans very well done walking feeding swimming outstanding experience oh yes and lunch was good . Staff fantastic. Highly recommend

Amazing experience, the elephants were fantastic, the people very friendly and ensured we had the best experience possible. I can't rate the Elephant Freedom Village high enough.

This was one of the best experiences ever - we did the overnight stay and it surpassed all of our expectations, the hospitality and the kindness of the Karen people was so amazing, they are so willing to talk about their culture and their relationship with their elephants. We were served delicious local food and saw first hand the beautiful relationships the elephants have with their keepers. So many gorgeous dogs around too! These are happy elephants with all different amusing and endearing personalities. Location is gorgeous, we were looked after in every possible way, lots of laughter and they don’t skip a beat on capturing all those photos people naturally want, so grateful! Goes without saying that we will never forget this experience and it was worth every penny!!! Thank you so much 💗

5 star experience. Like everyone else we research loads of places and read multiple reviews and were worried what to expect. This is a happy compromise: you get to interact and feed the elephants but they are treated in most respectful way. The most amazing day.
