A friend recommended the store to me and I'm so glad I went. I really appreciate quality fabrics, so the shop was really appealing. We found some girl's dresses and a handmade bag, but there's also women's clothing, wallets, phone holders, and jewelry.
Most of the shops in Chiang Mai have all the same styles that all look like they come from the same place. Mesimu has styles and fabric that are original — you can see them making them right in the shop!
The owner is very friendly and helpful. A great shopping experience!

Too bad the owner decided to close this shop. Went there today and simply fell in love with EVERYTHING I saw! The kids' clothing is reasonably priced if you take quality into consideration.

Lovely shop and owner. I visit this shop when I'm in Chiang Mai. The fabric used is high quality. Everything is hand made and designed and is importantly ethical. The clothing washes and lasts well. If you want unique quality purses, clothing, bags etc, you must visit. Kids clothes are also great.

The designs and the fabrics are so cute here! I had my eye on a purse for a week and it kept haunting me. I had to go back and get it. When I finally purchased the purse, I realized the owner of the shop had designed everything in the store and has everything hand made! Will go back for Christmas gifts for my family and friends!

As other reviewers stated, this is not a typical Chiang Mai shop. I read the reviews and decided to go there, and I’m so pleased I did. The craftsmanship is superior. I was astounded at the reasonable pricing considering the superior quality. Back home in LA these items would cost significantly more. The owner is genuine and so helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this quaint, lovely shop.

This sweet little shop is worth tracking down. The clothes are just beautiful and of the highest quality. The owner is also very helpful.

Suddenly stumbled into this little shop and was surprised to find that the clothes and accessories it sells are outstanding. I did not have high expectation on the clothes that were sold in Thailand originally as all the clothes I saw were produced in bulk. However, Meisimu sells products with unique design and high quality. The children's clothes are especially cute with beautiful patterns. I bought two linen pants and a kid's shirt with cute little elephants pattern at last. The pants are very comfy and the design is simple but stylish. I am sure they cannot be found elsewhere. I also recommend the little coins bags and A-line dresses. The coins bags are designed in hilltribe style and the A-line dresses are ideal choices for smart-casual occasions. In a word, Mesimu is a shop that deserves more attention and visits!

Love that I stumbled across this gem. They had beautifully made and designed items that were all quality! I love buying items that directly support hill tribes and I appreciate their commitment to sustainable consumerism. Wonderful service as well!
