Having booked our trip to Vietnam a bit last minute, we were still hoping to find some availability for a private cruise. When contacting Bhaya, the whole process and communication was smooth from the get go. Luckily, they happened to have a free slot left for a 1 night cruise. The whole experience is first class, from the boat and accomodation, the crew, the food and activities both on and off board. Our guide Tien was a dream, extremely knowledgeable of the Halong Bay area and its history, and always seamless in his interventions to make us feel at ease. We'll definitely try to be back for a longer trip!

It was a very poor experience we were actually charged extra money on board the boat for the vegetarian food option for my wife which was exactly the same as what I had but with the seafood, fish and meat removed.

Beware they will ruin our trip and avoid at all cost
We booked this cruise because it advertised it was a private cruise. they cancelled the booking with less than 2 days notice!!!
They just asked a sales rep to toss you another cruise option and give you a small discount
They claimed the cruise was broken and could not be fixed.
Our trip is ruined by them and we could never have this private cruise experience here. Idk how much impact it would be if the trip was planning for a special celebration or even a proposal

Everything was perfect despite the unfavorable weather (no rain fortunately but it was less than 8°).
The Legend cruise boat is magnificent, the very friendly staff take great care, the rooms and bathrooms are superb. As for the meals, they are worthy of starred restaurants.
We had the feeling of being alone in the world in the evening.
The only regret is not having extended it by one night.

Halons Bay gleicht an Hauptattraktionen einer Müllhalde. Übernachten auf dem Boot während um das Boot hunderte Styropor Blöcke und anderer Müll treibt ist nicht sehr romantisch. Da kann das gute Essen und auch der Service der Crew nicht viel ausbügeln.
Der Dreck treibt dort seit Monaten herum und es wird viel zu wenig dagegen getan. Die Kapitäne sind zu unflexibel, um in sauberere Gegenden zu fahren

We had a wonderful two days with Thïnh, a very kind and warm person. We could feel his love for Ha Long Bay and this made our experience even more special. He made us feel very welcome and organized some great activities. We went kayakking and visited a cave. In the evening he learned us to make springrolls and at sunrise he teached us some tai chi. We tried to catch squid at night but because of the full moon this was very difficult. We traveled with one of the Legends, a perfect boat for a family of 6 (3 double rooms). Each cabin was beautiful and had its own bathroom (with bath and shower). The food was amazing and the whole crew was very kind. I would recommend this tour to everyone because we will remember this for life. (I wish I could give more than 5 stars!)

Accueil à la salle d’embarquement, attente en terrasse, et prise en charge par le « majordome ». Accès au bateau par une petite embarcation, du ponton jusqu’à l’arrière du bateau et entrée par les cuisines ! Surprenant. Il n’y pas d’accès par le ponton ou une passerelle. Équipage discret. Capitaine muet.
Chambres confortables. Repas généreux et savoureux. La météo en février vous garantit plus facilement un ciel couvert et de la brume le soir/le matin.
Visite un peu en dehors des circuits très/trop fréquentés par les gros bateaux. Visites de grottes et village de pêcheurs au programme. Cours de tai-chi le matin au réveil sur le pont supérieur.
La baie reste majestueuse et mythique, la croisière agréable.
Chambres confortables. Repas généreux et savoureux. La météo en février vous garantit plus facilement un ciel couvert et de la brume le soir/le matin.

We just finished a cruise on Halong Bay with Bhaya Legend. Pluses were the food (excellent), cabin was great with a full bath, bed was a queen maybe a king size, beautiful dining room and the interior of the boat was very clean. Our Cruise director, Tingh (Butler #7) was informative and engaging. The rest of the crew was great! One warning about causing Halong Bay in there winter months, there is a lot of fog and little sun. So if want to see the limestone karats in that deep blue water, book spring or fall.

Une croisière romantique à souhait dans un cadre idyllique. Le bateau est très confortable et l’équipage très compétent et attentionné. Excellente nourriture. Que demander de plus ?

We are planning to be in Hanoi beginning of January and would like to be on a smaller private junk able to cruise non-touristed areas of Ha Long or other near by bays, Cat Ba, etc. Can a family of three rent a small junk? Or what are the options - happy to share too - but we don't want to be on a bigger boat with lots of people. Thanks to anyone who can suggest. Also - safety certifications of boats and skippers?

I am looking at booking a 2 day / 1 night trip with my husband and 3 teenage boys. Did the tour company pick you up in Hanoi or did you have to get your own transportation? Also, is there enough to do to keep three active boys busy?

Hola. voy a estar por trabajo en da nang pero no quiero irme sin conocer la bahía de ha long. estoy pensando en tomar un vuelo de ida y vuelta el mismo día, estaría en el aeropuerto de Hanoi a las 7:45am y tendría vuelo de regreso a las 18:55 o incluso 21:25, tienen algún tour que me sirva desde Hanoi? o si llego por mi cuenta a halong tienen algo de 12m a 4pm?

Yeah, it was very chilly last year, it is very nice this year so far, we found sun shines during the week. it is about 13-18 degree Celsius. There are some cloudy days but if lucky enough, you can find sun shines.
Warm clothes/closed shoes should have with on the trip.
