Empty Wall Gallery is a great art gallery that I highly recommend to anyone interested in art - especially if you are visiting Hanoi. The owner, Yen, is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to her expertise and professionalism, you immediately feel at ease and in good hands.

After visiting many galleries in Hanoi, we stumbled across this gem. The owner, Yen, was the most friendly, kind, and helpful host we had encountered after a long day of art hunting. The gallery had a large variety of art and styles, and Yen was very knowledgeable about each painter and could provide details about their art, and their histories. It was the very beginning of our trip in Vietnam, and we did not want to carry around a large painting. Yen arranged for our paining to be delivered to our last hotel. The painting was packaged perfectly, and Yen provided tracking details to us. Once our painting arrived at the hotel, Yen called to confirm its arrival with the hotel staff and had it put aside for us. When we arrived, it was waiting for us.
Not only was Yen knowledgeable and professional, she was also kind and honest. I had not felt that from other galleries we visited in Hanoi. We will return to this gallery on our next visit to Hanoi. Once our painting is framed and up, I will update with a photo.

We visited the Empty Wall Gallery when we were in Hanoi in 2016. We wanted to make sure that we visited again during our recent visit.
Ms. Yen has a wonderful selection of art at reasonable prices.
She is so welcoming and it is a great experience to visit the gallery and look at the different art. They will pack or ship art for you.

A very nice gallery with the owner being warm and very friendly. She takes time to explain and does not push a sale. A large variety of different kinds of art. My painting got damaged in transit and she was very kind to send me 2 different ones as compensation. Definitely recommended!

Am in northern Vietnam for 10 days on family vacation. One goal was to buy some original art for our house. Pre-identified and visited a dozen galleries in Ha Noi. This was one of 4 favorite galleries. Excellent selection, fair prices, good advice from gallary owner/manager. I bought 3 Vietnamese lacquer paintings here. Highly recommend !!!

We were exploring the Old Quarter when my eye was drawn in by a piece of egg shell art. Not a big gallery but they have curated a lovely collection. Just thinking about it now puts a smile on me.
There were some special pieces to be had but I was in self control mode. Ms Yen was wonderful. She is generous to tell you if you are keen to learn. I love the 3 beautiful muted blue lacquered pieces. There were some unusual pieces too.
I love galleries and this place is special. Drop by, soak in the beauty of someone’s else creativity and see what a talented Vietnam has to offer.

empty wall has some very nice and interesting work. ms. yen buys the art herself and has a keen eye for some outstanding artists. she's knowledgeable, practical and willing to spend time talking through the pieces and the artists. most of all, she's humble and helpful.

女老闆很友善，很詳細的介紹，賣的東西很有特色，立體卡片圖樣在外面見不到，作家作品小物是很具有特色伴手禮，喜歡藝術的人應該會很喜歡的，價格合理實在，值得參觀。

Galerie récemment agrandie dans la rue des magasins de jouets, au centre du vieux Hanoi.
La propriétaire, Madame Yen, est de très bon conseil et sait prendre le temps pour connaître vos gouts en matière de peinture Vietnamienne. Elle a dans sa maison des œuvres d'artistes à des prix beaucoup plus abordables que dans d'autres galeries de Hanoi. Les amateurs de peinture le savent, elle a une clientèle d'étrangers fidéles.
A recommander sans hésitation.

I have been at the Empty Wall Gallery many times and always comes back. No doubt this is my favorite gallery and I buy all my paintings here. I know I,m getting the real thing and the best service. It is good for an investment, and it is good for just having them at home. Thanks for the very best service :)
