Jenny was INCREDIBLE! She was the perfect hostess and tour guide for us during our very first day in Vietnam. It was like following a friend who was showing us her hometown with enthusiasm and pride. Jenny was very attentive, knowledgeable, experienced, and excited to share with us the best dishes and most trustworthy places to eat in Hanoi. Every one of her choices were exquisite and so fresh, and left us wanting to go back to have more. Jenny was fun, youthful, and spontaneous, and made our 4-hour trip an unforgettable experience. Jenny also sent us excellent recommendations for food and shopping as well! So grateful!

Our tour with Linh a local university student was fantastic. Linh was enthusiastic and fun and took us to incredibly tasty food spots- much nicer than where we had found ourselves. She gave us lots of cultural knowledge and was fun for our two kids aged 11 and 14 yrs

I had such a fun tour with Jenny and our small group. I’ve done several food tours since coming to Vietnam and this was definitely high quality. Jenny gave us historical information about living in the Old Quarter as well as taking us to family run businesses specialising in local dishes. She was kind, professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend!

Simply the best thing we have done in Vietnam so far! 100% recommend to everyone, the food but also local history was amazing. We had one person who is coeliac (can’t eat gluten) and they were catered for perfectly! Obviously being coeliac you have to eat at your own risk due to cross contamination but if you book a food tour you probably have already considered that. I found that the places Jenny took us to looked okay and I was happy to take the risk. Jenny also was able to tell me most of the ingredients that were in the dishes. If your coeliac or gluten free I highly recommend doing this food tour on the first day you get to the country so you can figure out the foods that you can eat.
Jenny was incredible with her knowledge and also her laid back, fun personality. She made sure we all got to experience the true taste of Hanoi and showed us the secret spots of her childhood. All the food was so delicious, our stomachs have been open to new flavours!

Would highly recommend going on this tour! Jenny was a great guide, not only did she take us to super yummy food places but she shared her passion for her city and the people of Hanoi. It’s more than just a food tour and well worth your time.

A must for every newcomer to Hanoi with a culinary interest.
Linh our guide from Secret food tours was an excellent guide to this chaotic but beautiful city.

What a fantastic introduction to the beautiful and fascinating city of Hanoi. Jenny my wonderful guide from Secret Food Tours guided me through five local run family restaurants each specialising in a local dish. I feasted on Bun Cha, traditional Pho, Steamed Rolled Pancakes, we made Vietnamese Summer Rolls and finished with traditional Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Jenny was a terrific guide with a wealth of knowledge of not only local foods but Vietnamese history, culture and of growing up in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
I thoroughly recommend this tour.

The guide Jenny was very professional, kind and sociable. He speaks the English language in an understandable way and this makes the visit even more enjoyable. He described the places and foods he ate carefully and also shared anecdotes about life in Vietnam. The food tried was really typical and tasty. An experience to try to learn a little more about Vietnamese customs.

The tour was one of the best experiences I had in Vietnam. It's totally worth it. We went to eat in places we never imagined and came out excited. Great credit goes to Jenny, our guide, a professional, nice and very prepared girl who made the tour even more unforgettable.

Really fantastic experience we ate the best food in Ha us.
Our guide Jenny really good at illustrating everything explaining their culture.
