Nothing brings people together like good food ! .
vietnamesefood is distinct and unforgettable .
Vietnam was always on both our bucket lists and we wanted to showcase Vietnamese food on @bangalorexpress to our food loving followers
This year we made it happen and the first day had to go on a food tour !
@secretfoodtours dont reveal where you will go , that kept the surprise element and it was so nice to meet ppl from different countries and we talked about each other's home cuisine and explored #hanoioldquarter by foot while loading up our bellies and got a sense of what we like and which of those dishes we would make a special effort to go try again .
We tried a lot of food like #buncuon , #buncha , #phobo , #nem ,#eggcoffee #banhmi #hanoibeer , #papayasalad and so on.
Wonderful start to #myvietnam holiday
Most importantly it may not be easy to go looking for good local places to eat and try different food .. secret food tour gives you a quick guide and opportunity to explore Hanoi Old quater and the local cuisine .
Highly Recommend you do this or your first or second day in Vietnam .
The Guide Mr Tommy was very kind and sweet , we wanted to try Hanoi style Spring rolls and he did find it for us though it probably wasn't on his good trail .
Overall a fun evening exploring food

I was the only customer for this tour, so I had a personal guide through the old quarter street food. Gin was the perfect guide and host for this adventure. She was conversant and knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and kept me entertained throughout. I would recommend this tour as an introduction to Vietnamese cuisine and the street food world of Hanoi. I cannot praise Gin enough, she was the best!

First of all, we really appreciated being able to book last minute even though it said there was no availability. A quick email to the organiser and they managed to get my partner and I onto a tour that evening. It ended up just being the two of us with our wonderful guide Tu/Tommy.
We have spent 7 weeks in Vietnam and have already done a few food tours in other cities and this one was great. We tried SO MUCH FOOD that we had to waddle home (we are big eaters so we were impressed) and at each place Tu asked if we wanted more so if you eat truckloads you’ll be looked after.
Tu was great! He told us all about the different foods we were trying, where they originate from and, most importantly, how to eat it all properly. He knows a lot about the history of the Old Quarter so it was like a food tour and history tour in one. We work as tour guides in Europe so we really appreciated that.

I was so happy to have the tour booked for my very first day of my very first solo trip. Gin was my buddy throughout the tour. She treated me like a friend. Took me through the corners of the market. Fed my big tummy with lot Hanoi specialities 😍 then a cup of homegrown Hanoi beer and the luscious Egg yolk coffee to end up with ❤️🖤.

I joined the secret food tour Hanoi with Tommy as a guide. The restaurants he showed us were very original and the food was very very tasty. He told us stories about his childhood what was very interesting I definitely recommend it as a to do in Hanoi.

2 in 1 = amazing food + fantastic guide! Tony is a very professional, humble, experienced and open guide ready to share not only best places to eat and how to eat Vietnamese food properly but also his own personal stories about Vietnam and life of Vietnamese people. His English is also very good so we enjoyed his company and the evening very much. Thank you Tony!

It was very nice to get to know more about the typical Vietnamese food. Our tour guide Gin (who was awesome) took us to the best places in town. We highly recommend this tour!

Spent a couple of hours around the old quarter in Hanoi, food was amazing and was a great tour. Emily is a great guide and she definitely loves her a job. Really recommend it !

Lots of food, culture and amazing your guide. Ask for Emily, she is very lovely and knows the best places in Hanoi. Worth the money. You'll taste from pho, to Vietnamese spring rolls, to Vietnamese bread or egg coffee and even a beee

Me and a friend did the food tour with Tommy and it was amazing!! He really knew so much about the food and the city and was able to give us great insight into both. He quickly worked out what we were wanting to get from the tour and delivered on point to that. I would highly recommend this trip to all my friends and family and if I come back to Hanoi I would do it again!
