If you’re going to do one thing while you’re in Nha Thrang it must be this tour & cooking class.
The guide (Dat) speaks great English. The cooking class is not just a cooking class but a tour of culture and a true insight into Vietnamese life.
We learnt so much and will certainly be taking what we learnt home and remembering that day every-time we cook the dishes we made.
Thank you Dat for taking us on this amazing insight into your world.

I highly recommend this class. It is not just a cooking class. It is more about Vietnam and Vietnamese culture. He took us to a bakery, a noodle factory and showed us a couple of private residences. Of course the cooking itself in his out door kitchen was a wonderful experience.

Such a good day that is so much more than just a cooking class. We visited a bakery, a noodle factory, two local family homes, a herb garden, a local market to buy produce to cook and learned a bit more about Vietnam along the way. Chef Dat speaks excellent English and is very informative. His garden kitchen is amazing and we cooked three dishes we’d chosen earlier (you don’t get a list to choose from, you have to suggest dishes you want to learn to cook so it’s worth thinking about that in advance). It was brilliant learning how to cook and then enjoying the food we’d made. Such a good day that we would recommend to everyone.

Two of us had the best day with Chef Dat. The first half of the excursion was seeing really local and authentic markets, a noodle factory, bakery, local homes, herb garden, and more. Then the second half is going to Dat's family home where they have a newly renovated outdoor kitchen/dining area which is a really peaceful and enjoyable area. We cooked 3 dishes of our choice with good bought earlier at the market and Chef Dat showed us each stage, while reminding us of what ingredients we were using so we could remember for the future.
Chef Dat's cooking assistant was also very friendly and smiley.
It was great to learn about Vietnam and Vietnamese people from Dat throughout the day as well.

Chef Dat is amazing!!! This experience was one of our best during our 2 weeks in Vietnam. He loves Vietnam and all that the people have to offer - this was a beautiful part of the entire experience. On top of that, his kitchen is a backyard experience and our dishes we made with him, incredible. Everything we ate was sourced fresh and local - an amazing person, a fabulous historian and an even better chef!! We fell in love with Vietnam (and Chef Dat!!) Due in part, to the moments we were fortunate to have with him.

Chef Dat was the best. I couldn’t recommend this tour enough! He showed us the local markets and explained everything so well. The place where you cook the actual meal is absolutely beautiful! And the food was so delicious and I can’t wait to recreate these dishes at home.

Great tour. Chef Dat spoke very good English and was easy to talk to. He gave us an insight into Vietnamese life and history as well as so much fabulous food and recipes. Very informative and enjoyable experience.

We had a brilliant day with Dat, from going to the market buying all the ingredients. Going to the herb gardens, and into a friends home learning about the culture before heading to the cookery school. Superb day continued, learning about the ingredients, how to prepare and then cooking then into three meals we had chosen at the start of our day. We’ll worth doing and certainly one of our highlights from our visit to this fantastic country.

The tour was well planned and perfectly executed. Vo Nguyen Huy was an exceptional guide. He has a deep knowledge of the area and is personally acquainted with the owners of the small businesses we visited. He is also very personable and a joy to spend the day with. his English speaking skills are excellent. The Orphanage visit was very special and heart heart warming.. Huy volunteers there with his son and obviously has a special relationship with the children. The tour created special lifetime memories for me. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We have joining class with the cost of $55/pp and the private class costs $75/pp for group of 2 people.
Payment is on the day after the class by cash in USD or VND.

Our cooking class is available on 25 November 2019, so you can make a reservation on this day.
The class starts from 9.00am when I will pick you up from your hotel in central Nha Trang and finish around 3.00pm.
The price for joining class is $55/pp and maximum is 10 people.
The private class for 2 people is $75/pp x 2 = $150.
If you are interested, please advise your hotel and type of class you want to take.
