E' un palazzo con tantissime cose da vedere: le armi, i vestiti, i gioielli del periodo del sultanato. Tante stanze che necessitano almeno un paio di ore per essere visitate, meglio se vi dedicate più tempo

Der Palast ist sehr sehenswert. Auf dem Plan steht Restaurant. Als wir um 13 Uhr Hunger hatten sagten die Angestellten wir sollen hinausgehen. Dort gibts eine kleine Snackbar mit Getränken und Süssspeisen, der zum Palast gehört.
Danach wurde uns der Eintritt zurück verweigert obwohl wir für das Harem bezahlt hatten. Nehmen Sie unbedingt Proviant mit, der Besuch kann Stunden dauern. Innen gibts nur einen kleinen Getränke Kiosk vor der Moschee, keinerlei Snacks! Im Palast gibts ein einziges Besucher WC. Und das für Millionen Besuchern jährlich.
Danach wurde uns der Eintritt zurück verweigert obwohl wir für das Harem bezahlt hatten. Nehmen Sie unbedingt Proviant mit, der Besuch kann Stunden dauern. قصر جميل جدا، وهو مقر حكم آخر الخلفاء العثمانيين، حيث يظهر كم كان آخر خلفاء الدولة العثمانية مرفهين الى درجة كبيرة، يحتوي على العديد من صالات الاستقبال ومخدع الخليفة ومقر الحكم.
ويوجد أيضا بداخله متحف إسلامي وأيضا متحف للساعات والأسلحة القديمة. كما يحتوي القصر على عدة مباني وأقسام حيث كل قسم يختلف عن الآخر ويحتوي قسم خاص باسم حريم السلطان ولديه قسيمة دخول إضافية.
ما يعيبه هو ان رسوم الدخول تعتبر باهظة الثمن 30 يورو للشخص الواحد، وأيضا يحتاج من 3 الى 5 ساعات لزيارته كاملا.

Как многие справедливо заметили оплата за посещение завышена, $70 за 2 билета
У меня была проблема найти туалет на территории дворца, звучит смешно наверное, но нигде четко не обозначено дворец же…. Пришлось покинуть эту достопримечательность, к тому же аудио гид который предлагают ,выдает коротенькие а одно предложение комментарии, без него можно обойтись . Вернуться не захотелось, посмотрю сама на Векипидии

Μεγαλειώδες ανάκτορο!!! Επιβλητικό με πολύ χλιδή!!! Η τιμή του εισιτηρίου 650 λιρες μου φάνηκε υπερβολική. Στην είσοδο σου δίνουν ακουστικά για ξενάγηση με μεταφραστή. Αξίζει να το επισκευθεί κανείς!!

Very well restored and kept. Good explanatory signs all over and new halls have been opened. A must see the treasury hall, (needs better identification between pieces and description) and the collection of antique dresses. The area can be crowded, and often people are loud and impolite

We knew we were going to undertake several historical tours while in Istanbul. We didn’t know we were going to end up bawling while on tour.
Let me start off by warning you to wear very very comfortable shoes and clothing. This palace and grounds deserve a full 2 day tour. If you are planning to tour the Mosque here, (ladies) please bring something to cover your hair, (everyone) skip the shorts and wife beaters. If you forget or refuse, you’ll either have to skip this part of your tour or the staff will find you something to cover yourself. Just bring your own and follow the rules.
Ok back to the crying. So we were touring with our guide, Captain Furkan. We walked down streets older than The Bible. We reached the part on the grounds where the Black Eunuchs lived. We weren’t prepared. Once we read and listened to the historical context of The Black Eunuchs, the tears started. The tour ended, more history and more tears. The story is brightened to a “happy ending” of stolen African children who were castrated. Their survival rate was 10%. The history attempts to comfort its readers by telling us these Black children became very powerful in the sultan’s empire. We know these children were part of chattel slavery. This wasn’t a preferred way of life.

Can somebody please tell me how much is ticket for palace +harem part?
No guide, no nothing, just a plane ticket. I keep finding some crazy prices online, and I cant belive is that expensive. Im not turkish(i found that they pay 200tl and foreigners 950tl?! )

I had visited in last January and paid 500 TL per person only for Topkapi palace, not for Harem.

Hi we didn't have a museum passso I cannot really answer re: skipping the line.
The combined TKT is available at the gate.
We didn't have to queue as we got there at 9am when it opened ( Def get there early even if you can skip a queue as it fills up quite quickly)

How can we purchase tickets in advance for Topkapi Palace with the Harem - entrance only (no tour/guide)?
Are tickets at the kiosk machines only valid the same day, or can they be purchased in advance for the next day?
It appears the Museum Pass is no longer valid, and we are not interested in other passes as we are only going to this attraction.

Hi, We went in the morning and we did not take a tour. We bough our ticket there. I recommend go early in the morning. Its a beautiful place.

I read that if we purchased the guided tour it doesn’t include the harem, which is a must to visit. Also with the harem we should head there first as there is limitation to number of visitors. So how does it work with the guided tour? I presume we will do the guided tour first and once that ended, can only proceed to the harem. Won’t this be risky that we would not be able to do the harem after the tour? Or is the numbers for the harem determined at the point of harem ticket purchase. This, as long as we have the ticket (purchased before commencement of the guided tour), we can enter the harem even later in the day?

If we buy skip-the-line tickets to enter Topkapi palace, are we able to buy tickets to the harem separately once inside?
All I can find online is guided tours that include both and we don't want a guided tour.

I read that there are English speaking guides offering their services just outside the entrance. Does anyone know how much they usually charge for a complete tour and if we have to pay for their entrance tickets. Thanks

They usually charge about 20$ for the tour, not including the ticket prices.

This is not really a question about Topkapı Palace.
I would get a taxi. Expect to pay about TRY 400.
If you are on a low budget, there is the Havabus shuttle bus from near Taksim square for TRY 52.50.
