The beaty of the Kaaba overtakes everything. It is a sight that cannot be explained. It will attract you towards it and made us realize of how insignificant we are. The love for the Kabaa cannot be explained but has to be felt.
You have to let go of the fact that it is always crowded and you will get pushed and stepped on. Go with the flow and connect with it.

It was not the best experience. The whole holy site was so polluted that I nearly fainted, I encountered lots of non-disciplined people, environments are uncomfortable. This is underdeveloped. It is an Islamic Holy site and I am disappointed that people would litter significantly and make the Janitors do more painstaking work. People were treated poorly. I will not be visiting again.
But I said, “Atleast I got to see the holy-site itself, and got to do lots of Islamic things” so I gave this review it two more stars.”
In summary, I am disgusted but also acknowledge I got to see “Allah’s House”

Splitting this into two sections to give readers a helpful guide based on my own experiences. Starting off with Makkah and some general visit details. Please also see my review on Medinah.
Saudi visa - a lot of confusion here over the correct visa to select if doing an Umrah.
1. If you only planning to visit Saudi once within a year and not planning to travel around Hajj season (peak season...one month before and after), UK residents can apply for the 'visa waiver' - allows a single trip for visiting and doing Umrah.
2. If you're looking at multiple visits or will leave the country and come back again for few days (like going on holiday outside of Saudi but then returning again for few days, then apply for visit visa (1 year, multiple entry).
Nusk app - another one which causes confusion. Saudi state you need to book Umrah slot to avoid overcrowding. We did that and you receive a QR code 2hrs before entry. But code isn't checked outside of peak season. No clear information or guidance so better to still book. Note: if plan to take zamzam water back to UK then you need to show proof of Umrah. If booked through Nusk, you can view proof.
Vaccines - Saudi rules state you need to show proof of Meningitis ACWY, but our certificate was not asked for at airport or checked. People said it is mandatory for peak season only. But better to be safe and have injection as it does help with any illnesses.
Transport - loads of options and also recommend the high speed train. Note: luggage space is limited on trains. We used Umrah Taxi Service to collect from train station to/from hotel and thoroughly recommend them.
Hotels – plenty to choose from but as a guide, the closer you want to be near the gates and mosque, the more you can expect to pay
Now for some key points to arm yourselves with.
• loads of construction near the Haram gates so be prepared for chaos and confusion.
• Lack of signage of entry to the Kaaba plus loads of gates blocked so be ready to walk to get to where you want.
• Security will be there only to shout at you. Don't expect any help from them. They block gate access to Haram mosque and try to move you to the roof, even with plenty of spaces inside. Get used to them shouting at everyone.
• Get there early for namaz times or you could end up reading outside. At least an hour for Fajr, Zohr and Asr and 90 minutes for Maghrib and Isha. If you're lucky to be there for Jumma, then try and get a space at least 3 hours before.
• When doing Tawaf, be prepared for lots of pushing and shoving. People forget why they are there!
• There are NO electric scooters for Tawaf or Marwa to Safa. You will need to either hire wheelchair (150 sar) or buy one from Clock Tower mall for 295 sar. Have someone ready to push wheelchair.
• You can only go near Tawaf area if men are wearing Ihram. Women are easier as just need Abaya.
• Thurs evening, Fri and Sat is mega busy even at mall. Easier to take food back to hotel.
Hope this helps!

The Hajre Aswad, kissed by millions, has become a breeding ground for viruses due to poor sanitation, posing a health risk for worshippers.
Overcrowding and contentious traditions further complicate matters.
The security at the Kaaba can be unfriendly or impolite.

Horrible experience, it’s a holy place an people ignore little things,
But the guard needs Discipline, You need to treat people with respect.
We pay a lot of money to go there And they treat us like sheep!!!
I Accident was pushed by the crowd on the imams location before the adhan an the hard started showing an I was moving away from there, But for some reason, it wasn’t fast enough for him so he slapped me on my back very hard, an almost pushed me to move. But people would go there and they would keep on making money. And the public won’t get together because they’re brainwashed. So these kind of behavior would carry on for who knows how long!!! Such a shame!!

I have a disability and I'm not able to walk, not even a bit. I'm also unable to sit on a normal chair. I can sit on specific types of wheelchairs, particularly the ones with the table attached in front (its mostly called a CP Chair) you can check on Google how it looks like. Now coming to the question. Do you think its possible for me to do the Tawaaf? Will the staff allow me to bring a CP Chair? I understand its hard to do Tawaaf on the ground floor, but what about the first/second floor? And how will I even get these kinds of wheelchairs with the table?

Yes you can, it’s either the first or second floor of Tawwaf that is accommodated for those in wheelchairs. You can also rent a wheelchair if it’s difficult for you to bring yours or even rent one with a guy that pushes you around (could be expensive during Ramadan and Hajj). Also within the Sa’i there is a dedicated path in the middle for those with wheelchairs and I think 2nd/3rd floor is for automated wheelchairs. I would advise that you inform your organisers about your condition and needs, or try to find a local service that can provide a much more convenient and comfortable experience for yourself, it’s definitely worth it! Hope to see in Makkah soon!

Why do we round tawaf the kaaba and what is inside the kaaba??
Đã viết vào 2 tháng 8, 2019
Well, every religion has it is Rituals & Traditions.
In The pre - Islamic era, worshiping people used to circle around Kaaba undressed, but when islam comes, it was regulated with high respect to Allah, circling with the Towels covering the body, as Kaaba is seen as the Centre of the universe, and aligned with the The divine throne.
Inner Kaaba used to be full of Idols & Statues during pre - Islamic era, those were broken as islam belief doesn’t accept or recognize Idols or statues, so Kaaba is supposed to be empty from inside, where we can pray to any Direction.

What is inside the Kaaba at the Grand Mosque in Mecca?
Đã viết vào 22 tháng 6, 2018
There is nothing inside the Kaaba. However there are stones at the corners of Kaaba that have huge significance. They are said to be descended from Paradise.
Technically "Hateem" (Curved white wall around Kaaba) is also part of Kaaba and it is very beneficial religiously to pray in that area. Like DrJsaleh mentioned distinguished figures are given access for Kaaba and they can read nawafil in Kaaba.
