Loved your professional operation; the community atmosphere and the warm welcome.
Great destination for cruise passengers docking in Boracay; the Motal Living Museum is only a ferry and trike ride away.

Do you know the movie 'Night At The Museum'? Like a movie, it is alive. It is a living museum :)
They demonstrate it in person wherever you go.
Valuable place you can visit.
The best place during our trip.
It is a beautiful place in one corner of the earth. It is a place where young&smart people and wise&elderly people want to preserve the region, old traditions and the earth.
They are kind and beautiful, There is beautiful tradition.
Also, I was able to be inspired to get some ways of an eco-friendly life in response to the climate crisis.
Thanks for Amy,Perlie,villagers and Daywa.
Recommend it to the younger generation, students, and family travelers.
My teenager companions liked the museum.
I am happy to bring them to the museum.

We had a whale of a time, the tour was really enriching and interactive. It was a great change of pace to a beach holiday here in Boracay. Everyone was really hospitable and friendly, there was even a really endearing surprise at the end. I highly recommended for everyone! 😊

I highly recommend this place to visit before taking the ferry to Boracay or before heading to the airport after your trip from Boracay. This “museum” reminds me of a mini PCC in Hawaii but much more interactive. Amy was a fantastic guide and all the lolos and lolas there were so great. It was my kids’ first time in the Philippines and I am glad they got to see how life was like back then in the Philippines.

It is the a great stop if you want to experience and learn about the filipino culture before the modernization of Boracay.
The manager Amy is really acomodating and she took care of every detail since the pick up point ( cagban jetty port ) , taking the guests to the musuem and taking us back to the port. The staff is also very kind.
I definitely recommend it.
Please be sure to book at least 1 day in advance. The entrance fee is only 850 php

This place was amazing. So glad we stumbled across it on trip advisor (it's not highly advertised, but really well reviewed by everyone who's been there, us included). We literally made the trip to the area just to go see this place and it was totally worth it for such a unique and immersive cultural learning experience. As far as we know, it's the only living museum of its kind in the PH, but I really hope this model is adopted elsewhere (here, home, and abroad). Such a great way to learn about and preserve a culture. Since they do have to prepare so much in advance, like the carabao and rice planting and the food they serve you (delicious btw), and arranging for the elders to come, so they do need to know you're coming. Just call or text the number listed here or on Google maps (no need to arrange a 'tour' - when we were there the going rate was ₽700 ea and totally worth every piso! They do a 10am and 2pm every day except Mondays and they can combine groups. We texted the night before for the 10am and another group called while we were there for the 2pm on the same day and both were fine, so they don't seem to need a lot of notice, but they won't be around if they don't have any bookings (and might not have enough supplies if you pop by and join a group that's made a booking), so avoid disappointment and take the moment to text/call before you go.
Bonus: we totally ended up tacking on a Boracay daytrip as a side-trip, "since we were in the area." From the reviews we read, most people do it the other way - stay on Boracay and do a daytrip to get away from the beach and crowds. If you're doing it from Boracay, just hop on any ferry back to Caticlan and get a trike there for your 10am or 2pm booking. The trike drivers all know the way and it shouldn't take more than about an hour total from the port on Boracay, depending on the ferry you choose. No need to fall for any of the 'all inclusive' package scams that overcharge. Either arrange for the trike driver to come back and get you in about 2hours or take the lovely walk down to the main road and flag the next one going your way

We really enjoyed this “museum” tour. It is not a museum in the traditional sense but it is very educational and fun! The purpose of the tour is to teach guests about the traditional lifestyle of the Philippines (before electricity and running water). You are outside the entire time so wear outdoor that you don’t mind getting dirty. The tour is very hands on with lots of doing and tasting and includes a ride on the water buffalo. We planted rice in the paddy and harvested rice, went through a traditional bamboo home, and learned about their faith and traditions. The elders sang us a beautiful song as farewell at the end. This is a family friendly, fun, entertaining and educational experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Motag Living Museum.

How can we get to the Montag Museum from the Windstar ship, without taking their tour for $169 per person? We are scheduled to dock in Boracay at 1pm on January 21st.

Hi, We will be arriving by cruise ship on 19 Feb 2018 and will tender to the Catalan Jetty Port. What is the best way to get to the Museum from the Jetty Port? Is there a public bus? Can we walk? Or would we be best to get a taxi? What are your opening hours for the Museum?
Looking forward to exploring this Museum - it sounds wonderful.

Hi there, we (travelling as a couple) will be arriving in Caticlan on Tuesday, May 2 and were thinking of heading to Motag Living Museum first before heading to our hotel in Boracay. I have a few questions:
1. Is this advisable?
2. Do you have a safe place we can store our belongings whilst we explore the museum? (We will be travelling light)
3. Can we use a tricycle to get from Caticlan to your museum?
4. Is it easy to coordinate transportation from your museum to our hotel in Boracay? (and approximately how much would this cost?)
5. How long would it take to explore the museum?
6. Can we get some lunch nearby?
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon :)
How much does it cost to go to the museum

Hi Motag Museum!
Is it possible for only two people to book with you? Or should I have to go through an agent? And how much would that cost us?
Thanks so much. I'm really looking forward to seeing your place.
