Great skate park. However, it's being overrun by a group of thugs running a skate school SkateSG. is it allowed in Singapore for a private business to monopolize a public space for commercial purposes? I can't believe these people are allowed to teach young children. My kid loves the skate park but I don't think I'll be bringing him there again.

Located next to Somerset Mrt. It is a very nice spot for skaters, there doesn't have extreme structure so it is safe for beginners and kids

Can get quite crowded as it is in Orchard, you also have to be careful of little kids scootering and of the lessons that sometimes go on. The skatepark can also feel a bit small at times compared to East coast Skatepark.

Used the skate park at Somerset MRT twice had lessons with SkateSports fantastic for the kids ( one a newbie and one advanced) SkateSports instructors great and brought along all the equipment which was good quality - fantastic.

I walked past the park on my way to Somerset and couldn’t help to notice this public open area.
The park was filled with skate boarders trying different stunts, which was interesting to watch. The park was equipped with different obstacles. It was clean and well maintained overall.

Sangat indah dan asri hutan yang mengeliling taman seluncur ini. Udara juga segar dan bebas bermain papan seluncur. Tempat umum dan ramai umumnya di akhir pekan

スケボー少年がたくさんいます。
子供と散歩するには向かないかな。
公園外でも、近くを歩いているとスケボーで猛スピードで横を走られます。危ないです。
日曜日になるとフィリピンのメイドさんたちがピクニックしています。大騒ぎするわけでもなく、楽しく過ごしているだけなので、その方々は無害です。

My son doesn't like visiting Singapore because he is 11, he skates and surfs. So this time we took his skateboard and every morning we visited Somerset Skate Park so he could do his thing before hitting the places I wanted to visit.
This is a really good skatepark for all levels, from beginners to advanced. It is really easy to find; you catch a mrt to Somerset and follow the signs (exit D from memory). If you are at 313 Somerset then it is located across the road from the Somerset Road entrance. It has been planned out well and it is clean. The graffiti makes it colurful.
We went during Singapore school hours so he had the skate park to himself; there was only one child having a lesson each morning. We went around 9:30 avoiding the sun which hit the skate park around 11am. I brought water and snacks as it got hot.
We did go in the afternoon around 5 pm and there were some local guys skating but it wasn't busy at all. I am not too sure what it would be like over the weekend.
Great free activity if you can fit a skateboard in your suitcase.
