Had an excellent visit to Elephant Beach Farm and Cape Dolphin
Ben the owner was an excellent host and we shared stories of 1982.
Ben then spent the whole day showing us around Cape Dolphin where we saw a Southern Sealion being tagged, plenty of Sealion cubs and some rather menacing Bull Sealion
Stunning location with great hospitality from Ben and the delightful Angela.
Will definitely return

We visited the Farm with the express intention of seeing the Penguin Colony on their beach. It was an interesting drive from Port Stanley with some wonderful views. The welcome we received at the farm was a delight and nothing was too much trouble. A fleet of 4x4 vehicles got our party to the beach where the penguins and some offshore whales gave great entertainment. On return to the farm we were treated to an excellent home made lunch and were able to enjoy the company of the family and friends who were there as helpers. A day to remember particularly as the sun shone all day and there was no wind!

Elephant Farm is located at some distance from Stanley (90 min. drive) and the beach is a further 30 minute drive by 4-wheel over the pastureland.
We were a cruise ship excursion group by bus. Spent good time on the beach to see the large colony of magellanic and gentoo penguins, followed by a great homemade lunch by Ben's wife...some of the best bread I have ever eaten.
If you have the time, well worth the visit. Unfortunately, our group was so rushed that we did not get a chance to visit Stanley before sailing.

Ben, the owner, was a very nice guy. He made us visit all the great spots around his land. The landscape were very beautiful, we saw lot of birds and sea lions. We visited the beaches and cliffs of Elephant beach farm but also the one of Cape dolphin.
The cottages of Ben are very comfortable and not expensive at all.
Definitely a good place in the Falklands to stay a few days.
I recommend it to everybody.

I am fortunate that my cousin and her husband live here. Ben is the owner of the farm and Mandy & John have a plot and house there.
ben has a self-catering cottage there and it is well worth the visit and a few days stay for relaxation.
If you pop over to see Mandy & John you will be made very welcome - Mandy has a cottage industry making silver jewellery, soaps, scented candles and natural cosmetics, which are available from her or at many outlets in Stanley.
