Along the main road in Stanley, more beautiful inside with old woodwork & stained glass windows, definitely worth a look on the way to the museum.

Fora town of 3,000 people a decent church not impressive by Western European standards but certainly worth a short visit

You can't miss the building. It is a great little cathedral, very well maintained. It looks bigger on the outside than it is on the inside.

I love visiting different churches and cathedrals around the world. This one was very unique as it is such a unique destination. The cathedral is quite small, but filled with interesting memorials and artifacts. The building is in some disrepair, and they are doing fundraising. I found the inside very moving.

We visited on a Sunday so there was a service in the morning. However, we were able to go inside that afternoon. It is a nice small cathedral with very nice stained-glass windows. Of course, the whale-bone arch out front is memorable.

Estuve delante de la Christ Church Cathedral y tomé fotos del monumento que está delante de este templo, construido con los huesos de las mandíbulas de ballena. Sentí sensaciones varias como argentina en estas tierras frente algo que se hizo cuando se cumplieron los 100 años de ocupación británica de las islas. Los restos de ballenas me remonta a la época en que los balleneros hicieron atrocidades con nuestra fauna marítima, estando algunas especias en riesgos de extinción. Por otro lado me sentí privilegiada por haber tenido la oportunidad de pisar la Isla Soledad.

As Cathedrals go this must be one of the smallest in the world. It does provide a place of worship for the locals as well as providing a tea/coffee bar inside the church most unusual.
It is built of brick to withstand the rain and very bad weather which is prevalent at Port Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands. Inside this church is like going back in time to the 1940's and 1950's in England. it is as though nothing has changed.

Linda igreja, prédio mais destacado da cidade de Stanley, visível de longe. Por dentro também é muito bonita, logo na entrada tem um pequeno espaço para crianças, com giz de cera e desenhos para colorir, permitindo que os adultos apreciem bem a visita. Tem também uma pequena tenda com biscoitos e outras guloseimas feitas localmente. Achei muito interessante encontrar o padre da igreja católica ali dentro, tomando um café com o pastor anglicano. Senso de comunidade fantástico!

In deze lieve rustige kerk hebben we een fijne cup of tea met een klein stukje cake genuttigd. De reverend rekende rustig af en gaf me nog wat Falkland muntjes. Dat is een leuk aandenken natuurlijk. Een kalm pratende vrijwilliger beantwoordde alle mogelijke vragen van de bezoekers en uit kleine luidsprekers klonk hele fijne muziek. Ja, een rustplek was dit.

La Catedral Anglicana de Puerto "Argentino" es un Hermoso edificio, muy bien cuidado (estaban reforzando algunas partes exteriores). Su interior es sobrio y cálido. Tiene un altar simple. Hay cuadros con referencias históricas.

Hello,
We are visiting on our cruise on January 11. We have a question: how did you visit all points of interest inside the city of Stanley. We know about cruise excursion. Is there another way?

Most of the attractions in Stanley can be seen on foot and are mostly along the water front. Best place for coffee and cakes is the Waterfront Hotel, never eaten there but the food looked great.
Word of advise Take Stirling(British pounds) cash or most shops take credit cards.
There is transport out to Gypsy cove (10 minutes) which is good for penguins in the right season.

We walked from the pier to the church and even further. Its only a few minutes.

I notice you have a tower do you have any ringable bells

Yes there are ringeable bells in the tower. One chimes the hours on the clock and there is one that is rung as a come to church chime. All six can be rung from the ringing room. By the way, BBC2 has a program on Fridays at 8pm called "An Island Parish" This series was filmed in the Falklands and based on the work of the minister at the Cathedral.
