Situated adjacent to Ross Road along the coastline of Stanley Harbour, this was a lovely stretch of land that overlooked the northern hills of the capital. Although the weather was a bit wet, I can imagine this area being pleasant in the Southern Summer.
Included within the green was the Mizzen Mast of the Great Britain steamship (1843) and an array of cannons, with plenty of seating to sit down and relax.
This plot of land is obviously cherished by the locals as it was up-kept to a high standard. Well worth a two minute stroll along its path to investigate.

This is a beautiful spot along the harbor wall in downtown Stanley. The mizzen-mast of the "Great Britain" is one of the attractions here. A nice spot to sit and view steamer ducks and upland geese.

Cuando vas caminando por Ross Road te encontrás con una larga franja parquizada con mástiles y viejos cañones. Es el lugar para observar la bahía. Del otro lado hay inscripciones muy grandes (en la tierra) con estos nombres: Beagle, Protector, Endurance, Dumbarton Castle, Clyde y Barracuota. Son nombres de barcos ligados a la historia de las islas. Beagle, como recordarás, era el barco en que navegó Charles Darwin. No tienen, que yo sepa, nada que ver con la guerra del 82.

Um local bonito e pacífico, bom para sentar e observar. O cenário geral de Stanley, bem visível de Victory Green, é muito bonito, e esse é um ponto ideal para curtir. Leia as placas com informações que explicam bem sobre a paisagem, principalmente sobre os navios encalhados.

Es un espacio en pleno centro, sobre la bahia , tuve la suerte de poder estar en un dia de pleno sol y sin viento, gran espacio verde donde se puede disfrutar de la tranquilidad de puerto stanley

The green itself goes right up to the waters edge and it is a very picturesque setting on a nice day. The 'Mizzen' mast (see photos) dates from a ship launched in 1843 which resided in Stanley for 80 years from the 1880's and makes a lovely central feature of the Green.

Un espacio verde accesible, pegado a la bahía. Aunque también esta pegado a la calle, pero no hay tanto transito como para que moleste. Tiene bancos para sentarse y relajarse con el verde, la bahía y las aves. El perfume del Gorse es perfecto para acompañar el momento de ocio.

A orillas del mar, hay un parque vistoso con algunos cañones de guerra. Está muy bien mantenido y se puede observar vida silvestre con solo esperar. Esta bueno para pasar el tiempo, ver la naturaleza y pasear un rato

Caminando en la bahía te encuentras con Victory Green que es una explanada cubierta con pasto (como parque) adornado con cañones y mástiles que recuerda la gran batalla por sus tierras.
