We visited Hengdian and Shanghai movie town before, therefore we thought Haikou movie town is so so only if compared with them.
Moderate space. Spend few hours here including lunch at fast food store. Still recommend every traveller to come here if you never go other movie studio before.
Visited on August 2019.

We travelled there in a group of 11 and didn't realised that there's no street shows on a Monday and would still be charged at full price. Would be great if we knew about this before we came. Hence we only took pics at the door and caught a free shuttle bus (every 15 minutes) to the nearest shopping centre. There's 2 routes for the free shuttle bus ( Brown/bronze colour bus ) there's also paid bus service (yellow or green colour bus). Attached is the current street show schedule.

A great place for photo shoots.
Facilities are well maintained.
The attraction continues to expand and we observe newer attractions still being built when we visited.
A must visit photo taking opportunity.

I went last weekend and visited the two completed sections and I loved it. I'll definitely be back when it's totally done. I like the fact that you could rent some costumes and walk through the different era. The entrance fee is pricey compared to other monument in China but worth it (RMB158) . I'd like the option price you can choose to visit only one section and pay for that one only, I think it's 68 RMB or so. I can't remember but the place it's great for taking pictures and there are a lot of shop selling souvenirs or else. It can be done in an afternoon at the moment but will definitely take longer once it's all done. I like the fact that there are shuttle buses available from the restaurant area close by but you can Didi easily too, that what we've done as the next shuttle was in an hour.
I enjoyed having my picture taken in the different photograph shop, 25 RMB each and they laminated each picture. You can also take the free one if you don't want to pay for it. The free picture is small but still cool.

Tempatnya bagus banget buat foto-foto.

Visited this Movie Town last week. It was a hot day so getting around was really hard under the hot sun. The site is devided into 3 sections with the biggest one yet to complete (think it will be the best). The set buildings were nice and good for taking pictures. There were a few restaurants and cafes but few had air conditioning. It was like Universal Studios type of attraction but there was not much to do in there (1 roller coaster ride). Maybe there will be more attractions in the future but not much for now. Still a nice place for taking pictures.

This place is cheesy, it’s important to be clear about that. But in my opinion it’s the good kind of cheesy. The ticket price is steep (198RMB for a combo ticket which includes the 3 zones and some attractions inside) but it’s worth getting the combo price as individual tickets don’t end up saving you much money and at least this way you have a few fun gimmicks thrown in.
The zones are as follows: An old china street, 1942 street, and the Youth Zone. The old china street offers just that, a glimpse into life in old china, with some shop fronts open so you can peak inside (nice touch), There is an aquarium there which is fairly well set up (though some of the tanks are a bit small for the turtles unfortunately). 1942 street offers a look at china from that era, with a rock museum (terrible, the worst part of the park) a theatre with a comedy show (you pay extra to see the scheduled show so we skipped that) a film museum (which has a bunch of old cameras - interesting to see for sure!) and a typhoon and earthquake simulator (super cheesy but the typhoon simulator was quite amusing as they spray you with water and blast the wind turbines in your face, The earthquake simulator is nothing special). The Youth Zone is like what a rec centre in a communist army barracks would be like and is especially great if you choose to rent a costume from one of the dozens of costume shops around the park. Plenty of army photo ops here (we skipped out on this but I could see how it might be fun for those that enjoy that type of thing). There is a ballet studio inside where we witnessed a surreal performance as a lady came out and sang to a nearly empty gym (There were 5 of us) and a man skillfully played a flute. This was included so it was a nice surprise. There’s also a way museum which is mildly amusing and a completely empty coin museum with some decent looking money in there. Overall, it was a fun way to spend an afternoon and I’d recommend it if you like taking pictures. For those on the fence I might suggest waiting until the largest and newest section - Old Beijing - opens up eventually.

朋友建議來看看,這個片場離酒店约一小時,四周除了片場什麼也没有y。入內可乘坐哥爾夫球車到1942片場,裏面的民國街有小食店、酒店和纪念品店。天氣不太熱可逛逛。
