Wow! What an impressive shop. It has everything from souvenirs to museum quality antiques and gorgeous textiles from all over Asia. Highly recommended. It's part of Murni's Warung - so you can dine and shop at the same time

Great range of stock from, souvenirs to museum prices from knowledgeable and helpful assistants. Very enjoyable experience - and they ship everywhere.

Eigentlich war dies, noch bis vor einigen Jahren, ein recht guter Antiquitätenladen, in dem wir immer etwas gefunden haben. Vorab hatten wir uns aus der sehr übersichtlichen und gut strukturierten Shopseite von Murni’s Products Archive - Murni's in Bali (murnis.com) informiert und auch einige recht ansprechende Stücke gefunden. Entsprechend hoch war unsere Erwartung.
Im ebenerdigen Bereich des Geschäftes gibt es nur Dinge zu kaufen, die mit dem Wort „Kitsch“ recht gut beschrieben sind und die teilweise wenig mit Indonesien und gar nichts mit Bali zu tun haben, wie z.B. Armreifen aus Marokko.
Ärgerlich ist der Verkäufer, der kaum Englisch spricht und von keiner Sachkenntnis getrübt ist. Nach längerem hin und her ist er gewillt, uns Textilen zu zeigen. Wir fragen nach solchen von der Insel Sumatra. Die Insel ist zwar die größte der ca. 5.000 bewohnten Inseln Indonesiens, aber so richtig weiß er dies nicht einzuordnen.
Man merkt ihm deutlich an, dass er am liebsten in Ruhe gelassen werden würde. Dabei ist Murni‘s nun wirklich bekannt. Unverständlich, wie man solch unqualifiziertes Personal einstellen kann.
Die Textilien, die wir sehen, sind von sehr guter Qualität. Verglichen mit den Preisen in Jakarta oder Kuta/Legian/Seminyak, Kupang, Ujung Pandang etc. für vergleichbare Stücke sind die Textilien bei Murni‘s jedoch deutlich über Vergleichbarem.
Nach Schmuck fragen wir erst gar nicht. Das hätte den „Experten“ total überfordert.

For excellent quality in a wide range of items, this is the place. No hassle.
Reasonable price and good quality. The items range from crafted souvenirs, lovely jewelry to rare, antique, tribal pieces.
Murni, the owner, is often there, and her famous restaurant is there too. Both shop and restaurant are highly recommended, as is her spa, Tamarind Spa, in her boutique hotel, which is only 5 minutes walk away.
A must do.

What a treat to find this shop online and to deal with the delightful Murni! She has veritable treasures, and she is very happy to answer questions. I particularly appreciated the detailed descriptions online--really a deep-dive into the history of each piece. So informative and interesting. I spent hours looking through all her beautiful antiques...and bought a lot as well! Very happy customer! In fact, I almost feel I've made a new friend.

Ordering online was a very pleasant and trouble-free experience. Everything was done in great care and all questions I have are dealt with in a polite and timely manner. Murni made sure that the entire process was a smooth as possible. A place I confidently shop again in the future and will recommend to my friends.

I was in a hurry to look for a balinese prayer bell as i needed one for my new house but it is extremely difficult for me to fly to Bali because of the pandemic. Being a regular visitor in Bali, I have passed by Murni's shop numerous times before and I thought of giving it a try to get the bell online from Murni. It is a risky move as I'm afraid of losing the item halfway through or got broken upon receiving it but thankfully the bell arrive in great condition. I would love to drop by here once the pandemic is over.
