My wife and I had actually changed our mind on touring in a jeep due to the sweltering summer heat. On contacting the company, we were advised that we would enjoy the scenic views more in jeep, however we insist they will replace aircon vehicle for us. So we stick to the jeep and there's no regrets! Wonderful scenic tour, great guide!

We had a great day with Mick, going by scooter! We headed up North via a new High Way not even taken into use yet and made some great pictures. He explained us a lot about the real Vietnamees people and let us swim in a hidden waterspring where only locals come. Then we went back via the east side, all the way up to Hai Van Pass. Mick showed us real bullets lying on the ground, coming from the war 50 years a go, where he knows a lot about. He’s a really kind and careful person!

Mick was great! He was able to find the area my dad was stationed in during the war in 1968 as a Marine. The food was delicious and being off the beaten path was a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city and tourist traps. Highly recommend!

We had a blast! The old vintage Jeep was very cool and Mick was a good guide. The Jeep broke down but we were able to sit on the beach and have lunch so we weren’t bothered by it at all, and we were soon on our way. The views were spectacular! We did the Hills of Danang tour.

My family and I enjoyed a fun day touring the hills of Da Nang with Mick. He provided some old Vietnam War era photographs of many of the places we saw. Mick's strength was being able to go off the beaten path and take us places that a regular local guide would not. We would recommend him to anyone who wants to see and experience the area in a little different way.

We would thoroughly recommend Looking Glass Jeep Tours. My husband and I had a fantastic full day tour with Mick and our excellent driver Nguu. We were picked up promptly at our hotel at 8 a.m. Mick provided plenty of ice cold drinks to make sure we were refreshed throughout the day. Mick was able to give us loads of interesting information about the areas we covered on our trip and also about the Vietnam War which we were interested to learn more about. We decided to take the Hills of Da Nang tour which involved a visit to Monkey Mountain and an amazing trip through the Hai Van Pass with its spectacular views.We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Lang Co and then travelled on to a secluded lagoon, completely off the beaten track where we enjoyed swimming with some Vietnamese families. As Mick said, this was the real Vietnam- away from all other tourists. Throughout the journey Mick handed out lollipops to the local children- and their parents! These were gratefully received. (We pinched the idea for our trekking in the Sapa Valley where it was lovely to see the smiles on the children's faces when they got their little treat!).Mick was great company and full of interesting observations on Vietnamese life; he gave us lots of information and showed us old photographs from the Vietnamese War. This was a great trip in every way and there were of course numerous photo opportunities along the way. We would definitely recommend this tour for a really personal trip and up-close look at Vietnamese life.Thank you Mick and Nguu.

Such a fantastic day with Mike doing the Da Nang mountains tour. If you want off the beaten track, and insider knowledge galore, then choose a day with Mike. We saw three kinds of monkeys, swam with locals in a secret lagoon, ate cockles for lunch at a restaurant on the water, found special things at Hai Van pass (you’ll have to wait and see), and witnessed this country’s beauty from on high. Five stars.

Having read the reviews on trip advisor I emailed Mick on Wednesday morning on spec to see if he could arrange a half day tour that afternoon. Our needs were simple. We just wanted to take a ride through the back country roads and villages to see the real Vietnam life. Mick came through wonderfully. He picked us up at 1 pm and we were on our way. Mick is an American who has lived in Danang for 8 years. Very relaxed guy and had understood exactly what we wanted. Our 1st target was Hai Van Pass. A stunning winding road up to the top of Hai Van pass, stopping along the way when we wanted. The views were stunning and Mike was pointing things out to us all along the way. Once there we spent a bit of time searching for only bullets from the war. We came away with a handful of Russian and American spent bullets and casings before enjoying a local coffee at the roadside cafe. Following this we drove back down then toured some real back country roads through the rice paddy fields and villages. Our highlight was when we stopped to take a picture of someone working in the fields just opposite a small family house where probably 4 generations were sitting out. They invited us in and the mother pressed some sugar cane for a cool drink and we sat around with the Great Grandmum, Grandma, Mum, Grandad the two children. Different languages was not a barrier to having a truly memorable 30 mins with this lovely family. After that we headed back as the sun was setting, cold beer in hand ( me not Mick ! ). Overall 5 hours of a truly memorable day. I would highly recommend Mick if what u are after is a relaxed journey through the country in an old Russian jeep. He also does motorbike tours if interested

I booked a full day jeep tour with Mick as our guide. It was a fun experience for our family!
I chose to go Hai Van Pass and Lang Co, after reading good reviews. The views were really nice. The photos were good on their own, no filters nor editing were needed.
Mick took us to a war bunker site, where our boys were occupied with searching for “treasures”. The tour was an eye opener for our kids. They saw the fishing community, local villages, local kids swimming in a natural setting.
Mick provided commentary throughout the day. He shared with us his observations of Danang and its people. He was relaxed, easygoing and he made sure we are well hydrated and comfortable. The lunch venue at Lang Co was such a scenic spot!
I’m glad I had booked this tour with Mick.

According to Jeremy's co-worker, he left Viet Nam in July or August 2017 for good and his business has closed. Too bad! His tour was really amazing...

We phoned him at about noon the day before. He later said we were lucky to get a booking at such short notice, but he did answer the phone right away when we called. We were not able to use his website however.

It depends on your plan. You can list up the places you want to visit, and he will give you the price. In my case, I paid 550 USD for 3 day's tour around Quang Ngai area for 2 people, including lunches and soft drinks. He took us everywhere we requested to go. He stopped at the places where we wanted to take photos. I think it was cheap, considering all the service and the fun they provided us.

Sure can - we had four passengers and it was quite OK - recommend lots of sun screen particularly on the top of your legs - as the other answer said - it is a fantastic experience, a must do.
