Luc provided us with a fantastic guide who found the best spots for the beautiful langurs and helped us take wonderful images. Couldn't have asked for a better day!!

Cela a été notre plus belle expérience au Vietnam! Quelqu'un m'a donné le contact de Luc nous avons fait confiance et cela a été juste une expérience magique. Nous avons pu aller à la rencontre de ces magnifiques Douc à pattes rousses, très facile à voir quand on est bien accompagné. Nous avons eu la chance de les voir d'assez près, ils ont même traversé leur pont de singe juste au dessus de nos têtes.
J'aurais pu passer la journée à les observer.
Luc et Nat ont été très agréables et très intéressants, ils aiment les animaux et ça fait plaisir de rencontrer des personnes comme ça.

Working with Luc Guyen a local photographer. It was a remarkable experience filming with Luc.. Very organised trekking, the searching was always very short as Luc knew how to find the Langurs for us.

Excellent guide and tour by Luc! If you want to see the Red-Shanked Douc Langur, he’s THE person to take you as he is familiar with the families and where they hang out in Son Tra reserve. He’s also an excellent photo guide and nature expert. Very comfortable experience and ride to from Hoi An to Danang.

In 2019 i was planned a trip to Vietnam with focus on wildlife with top priority the primates and landscape.
After gaining advise of a singapore photographer who has been traveling with Luc to great satisfaction i contacted Luc for a 24 day trip with start in the north then covering the coast descending to the south .
Unfortunately covid stopped general traveling and it was only in 2022 that i could define the trip .
From the day of arrival t’ill the last day Luc Nguyen was outstanding in his performances , punctual , great knowledge about wildlife , assistance wherever needed and above all a good sense of humour, this from dawn t’ill dusk.
In the 26 years that i travel around the globe , according my personal experience Luc is ranked absolutely in the top of qualified guides.
Whenever a guide needed in Vietnam for Birding ,wildlife, landscapes I definately recommend Luc Nguyen , no mistake about that . just One word: Top guide,

Vietnam Eco-Tours arranged an absolutely brilliant morning for my family (traveling with wife and in-laws) and me whilst we were in Da Nang. If I am an the area again I will be sure to contact them take another trip. It is a little pricey but considering what you get and the memories you ought to have, it's worth it!

Absolutely incredible! I had a very enjoyable experience with Nhat! He was knowledgeable, friendly and you could tell loved the Langurs and ecosystem. It was great to see such a strong advocate for the environment/ecosystem.

Even with bad weather, Luc gave an amazing tour and we got to spot a few families from far and up close! He also told us a lot of information about the monkeys. Luc knows these monkeys very very well and where are the spots they like to hang out.
Was expected to hike a little in the forest but was told the forest is actually off-limits. So the journey was very doable and easy, only walking up the sloping roads. A bit of drive occasionally to get close to the monkey spots.
Will recommend to any wildlife lover to get on this trip!

My friends and I did the Half Day Monkey Mountain Tour with Nhat and had an absolute blast. Nhat knows where each family tends to hangout and I got incredible pictures of the endangered red-shanked douc langur and their babies. We were some of the only people in the reserve which made it that much more special. Thank you Nhat, Luc, and everyone at Vietnam Eco-Tours!

We loved our tours with Luc. The particular highlight was seeing the Douc Langurs on the Son Tra peninsula not far from Da Nang city. Luc was very knowledgeable and had lots of spotting and photography kit. If you are interested in wildlife or photography then I would strongly recommend this tour.

Hi David,
I realize this is an old review, but do you happen to have more info about the company you used, how you contact them, etc. "Vietnam Eco-Tours" is such a generic name...
Looking for a guide for a day trip from Hoi An to Sơn Trà to see/photograph Red-shanked Doucs.

I sent a message yesterday on the Vietnam Eco-Tours website asking about wildlife tours in September but haven't heard back about 24 hours later. I want to be sure we can do a tour then, and to find out the types of tours and prices as our airline flights are on the 24 hour free cancellation hold which ends soon before I decide to book. What is the best way to reach Luc? Also, what tours did folks like best that include the Red-Shanked Langurs? Thanks!

I communicated solely by email (listed on their website).
I initially tried directly via their website and then thought maybe I should send it directly to the email address. He did respond when I sent it directly to his email address.
He may have been on a tour and not able to respond right away.
I did the 1/2 day monkey tour and 1/2 day My Son Sanctuary. Loved it.
