We went on an excellent 1/2 day tour to SonTra Peninsula. We were led by a wonderful guide Huu, who made it possible for us to see several Red-shanked Douc Langur and rhesus macaques.
Huu was knowledgeable, patient and made our tour very enjoyable.
He helped us take photos and videos. It was one of the highlights of our trip and highly recommended

Communication from tour company was excellent. Face us several options of what to see and where to go. All guides and drivers were professional. Saw many types of primates. Would Highly recommend booking this group to take you to all parts of Vietnam to experience the animals in their natural habitat.

Tung was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. He managed to get us great views of a family of red shanked douc langurs, which was lovely. His skill at getting us photos through his monocular was brilliant. He was very good at spotting and identifying birds we hadn’t even seen. Thoroughly recommended.

One of the best experiences of our trip so far. LUC was so knowledgeable about the mammals, birds, reptiles could not be bettered. Would 100% Highly recommend this tour to any animal lovers!

We had a fabulous time with our guide, Huu. He knew exactly where to find the langur, and we also saw two types of macaques. He was very patient in finding them. He also ensured that we got to use the binoculars and telescope. Wr also saw the lady Buddha. Huu's passion for the primates and his knowledge were invaluable to our experience.
Wr would thoroughly recommend this tour.

This was such a wonderful experience! I always try to stick with ethical companies when doing wildlife tours, and Vietnam Eco-Tours was truly one of the best in that respect! My guide Huu was helpful, enthusiastic, and very respectful of the wildlife. It's clear that he's totally dedicated to his work. He's very knowledgable about the langurs as well as the macaques and he knows where to look for them,. He helped me take photos with my phone through the binoculars! The company was also able to accommodate a last minute request from me, which I appreciated very much. One of my favorite things that I've done in Vietnam so far. I totally recommend it!

Nhat Dang, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about the wildlife we were able to see on his tour. All wildlife lovers should ask to go on his tour and they will be rewarded. The Red Shanked Langurs were very cooperative in showing themselves too.

We went for a half day trip with Nhat and saw plenty. Nhat was very knowledgeable about the Langurs but also found plenty of birdlife for us. Worthwhile trip and very enjoyable.

Amazing experience seeing Red Shanked Duoc Langur Monkeys in their natural habitat.
Our guide was well equipped with spotting scope and binoculars and a great knowledge of the primate and bird life.
Really enjoyable experience. I highly recommend taking this tour with Nhat as your guide

Collected from our hotel 0645 by Luc Nguyen and driver. A quick search locally revealed several species, then on to My Son (Beautiful mountain) the ancient site once occupied by the Cham people. After an interesting visit to the ruins it was time for more birds, which were now coming fast and furiously. After lunch in the park it was off to the hills to see the Langur monkeys. Then across to the wetlands for more birds, finishing at the hotel at 17.45. What a day !! Luc and his colleague display extreme passion enthusiasm and dedication, when in pursuit of birds. the pace was exhilarating and at times I struggled to keep up, earning me the nickname 3 steps behind !! We also added 3 lifers, White Browed Crake, Salty Breasted Rail and White Crested Laughing Thrush.
If you love birding, and Ancient history, then this trip for you.

I realize this is an old review, but do you happen to have more info about the company you used, how you contact them, etc. "Vietnam Eco-Tours" is such a generic name...
Looking for a guide for a day trip from Hoi An to Sơn Trà to see/photograph Red-shanked Doucs.

I have been trying to reach Luc via their website for nearly 2 weeks to no avail to set up a tour. Any suggestions besides via their website? Thanks for any help!

I sent a message yesterday on the Vietnam Eco-Tours website asking about wildlife tours in September but haven't heard back about 24 hours later. I want to be sure we can do a tour then, and to find out the types of tours and prices as our airline flights are on the 24 hour free cancellation hold which ends soon before I decide to book. What is the best way to reach Luc? Also, what tours did folks like best that include the Red-Shanked Langurs? Thanks!

I communicated solely by email (listed on their website).
I initially tried directly via their website and then thought maybe I should send it directly to the email address. He did respond when I sent it directly to his email address.
He may have been on a tour and not able to respond right away.
I did the 1/2 day monkey tour and 1/2 day My Son Sanctuary. Loved it.
