Dolphin was show good, everything else was sad. Sad because animals such as the polar bear, turtles, penguins, seals, otters, fox, and fish are all kept in overcrowded and small enclosures. One fish was dead in one of the tanks and the tanks were dirty. I do not recommend supporting this aquarium due to the extremely small enclosures that do not meet animal welfare standards.

I went to Sea Paradise for the first time on a Saturday in June 2024. The aquarium and attractions were very well-equipped, and it was a facility where you could enjoy a whole day, including eating and shopping. I will write about my experiences and impressions in each area.
- About the aquarium
I went 30 minutes before opening, but there were many people lining up to buy tickets and wait to enter. Regarding purchasing tickets, I thought that it would be better to buy them in advance if you have no restrictions or commitments, as it would be better to make better use of your time. There were so many sea creatures on display throughout the exhibition that there was not enough time to look at them slowly. In particular, the sight of many sardines swimming in the giant aquarium left an impression on me, and I was impressed by the fantastic and beautiful view ☆彡 Even when going up the escalator, you could see the fish swimming gracefully, and I thought the structure was good.
There were two things that I found inconvenient inside the building. It was very difficult to get a mobile phone signal. And it was difficult to find the way back. If you watch the show first and then see the exhibits later, the show venue is at the end of the route, so it was very difficult to get back after the show.
Next, about the events. In the show of marine animals, beluga whales and dolphins performed in cooperation with the zookeepers, and the performance was very worthwhile, with cheers from the crowd. It ended in a flash, and I found myself wanting to see more. I also think it's great that there are many hands-on programs available. I participated in the "Capybara and Mara Feeding Time" and had a short but enjoyable time feeding and interacting with capybaras and maras, which you normally can't touch. The stamp rally was also fun, and I thought it was great that they made an effort to see all the exhibits evenly. You can also see the impressive dolphins and sunfish in another building (Dolphin Fantasy), so be sure to check it out.
・About Sea Paradise Tower
This is an attraction where you slowly rotate up and down, and you can see not only the Sea Paradise park, but also the surrounding sea and even Mt. Fuji. One thing to note is that you cannot pay with cash here.
When you reach the top, it goes around again at the top, so it was nice to be able to take a panoramic photo. If I were to be greedy, I would have liked it if there had been a little more time to stop. It was a flash until we got down, but I was able to enjoy the nice view and I'm glad I used it.
-About Paradise Cruise
The boat departs from the passenger terminal and makes a round trip to the roller coaster area. The ride takes about 15 minutes, and there are seats on the deck (1st and 2nd floors) and indoors (1st floor). I was on the 2nd floor deck, and I enjoyed the ride while being blown by the pleasant breeze, without any major rocking or seasickness.
It was a good experience for me, who was visiting Hakkeijima for the first time, and I'm glad I used it. During the ride, music with a tropical atmosphere is broadcast, but personally I think it would be better if there was an explanation of the buildings visible in the area.
-About Seaside Oasis (food court)
There are various shops such as noodles, curry, and hamburgers. I used it during the peak time on a holiday (around 12:15), so it was difficult to get a seat. Once I got a seat, it was difficult to line up at the restaurant I wanted to eat at.
I had a set of udon and a mini bowl of rice at a restaurant called "Don Taiko." There was almost no waiting time from ordering to receiving it, which I thought was great. The price was reasonable at about 1,000 yen, and the taste was good.
・About the Hill Square
The best time to see the roses had passed, but the "Hydrangea Festival" was being held, and I enjoyed admiring the many beautiful hydrangeas. It was a bit difficult to go up and down the stairs, but I think it was well worth it. If you visit at the right time, it's an area that I recommend stopping by to see the roses, hydrangeas, and more.

I participated in the experience program called "Peeking into the Sea Creatures: Penguins, Seals, and South American Sea Lions."
I was allowed to touch a gold seal!!
It was warmer than I expected, and I was surprised to see that it had fur. I was very satisfied with the valuable experience of being allowed to enter the animals' backyards.

We specifically went to the aquarium and were very let down… you arrive at the station nearby and walk along a beautiful path along the water. Everything looks great! The we crossed the bridge to “sea paradise” and it was like entering a ghost town. Closed rides and shops everywhere. Followed the signs to the aquarium and were helped by some very friendly staff… then we entered the main aquarium…. It was depressing! The poor walrus… huge animals kept in a tiny enclosure they could barely swim in…. A depressed polar bear kept indoors…. The water was green and murky…. And that was just the start…. Every tank was dirty and in many cases crazy overcrowded. The fish often looked like they were dying…. From there you can go to a “dolphin fantasy”… three very sad dolphins in a tiny tiny rank… it was sad….the only good point is the dolphin show. The belugas and whales actually got to swim in a large space! Because when you look at the other tanks they live in you want to cry…. The final place in the park kept dolphins in an overcrowded dirty old enclosure with such poor water quality you could not see them submerged! Frankly in the US this place would get shut down…. It was sad….and I’m not against zoos or aquariums, love going! But not to sea paradise

It's been two years since my last visit.
I think events where you could touch fish had been cancelled previously as a COVID-19 precaution, but this time my children were happy to be able to touch sharks and turtles.
There were places where you could take off your shoes and go into the water, but I didn't bring a change of clothes, so unfortunately we couldn't let them go into the deeper areas.

Acuario típicamente japonés, es decir, impresionante, aunque con contrastes y muchos peros. Muy masivo, con instalaciones gigantescas y una gran colección, aunque combina algunos recintos excelentes con otros muy mejorables. No es agradable, por ejemplo, ver osos polares en una instalación pequeña y totalmente interior. Las instalaciones para cetáceos también me parecieron deficientes. En cambio, la mayoría de los tanques para peces, invertebrados y similares son excelentes.

Sea paradise is a nice break form all the hustle in the big cities. Its farily easy to get here but some walking is necessary if arriving by monorail. The park itself is free of charge so you only pay if wanting to enter any attraction. I went fot the 4 aquarium ticket which give access to the main aquariam + 3 other smaller places. The main aquarium is medium sized witha few nice tanks and the main atracctions are the dolhpin, ice bear and penguins. They also do live shows that are worth seeing if you have ticket for the aquarium. Note you can go in and out as you wish as long as you keep your ticket. The top of the aquarium have som enclosures with diffrent small animals and bird. Its actually possible to enter one of the enclosures and be amongst the flamingos, ducks and capybara as long as you do not fdeed or touch the animals. I actually had a flamingo who decided to go between my legs so they are used to humans.
The other aquriums was very small where one is just a place where you can feed fish. If you pay extra you can also fish yourself.
There are also a few rides but most are for children.
The area also got some good restauarants and one of them allows you to grill the fish you caught or just simply buy stuff and have bbq.
This isnt a big park like USJ or Tokyo Disney but still worth the visit if you got time.

Sea Paradise is an excellent place to go with the whole family. There is a variety of food, attractions, as well as a very nice aquarium, complete with dolphin show. Prices are reasonable, and a season pass pays for itself after just two visits.

25年ぶりに訪問。
当然ながら建物は古く感じられた。
駐車料金は1日1500円。
園内でところどころ写真サービスがあり、結局買ってしまう。。。
当日は、「どうぶつの森」のイベントが開催されていたせいか、
アクアリウム内の解説もきちんと読みながら進めた。
スタンプラリーは未就学児にも楽しめた。
ふれあいラグーンにいるオタリアの水しぶきには注意。
どうぶつパフォーマンスイベントで、オタリアプール近くに座るとかなり濡れる。
イルカプールの可愛い水しぶきではなく、かなり激しい水しぶきが飛ぶため、前方の椅子は要注意。事前に係の方は何も言いませんでした。。。
食育体験体験が出来る「フィッシャーマンズオアシス」は、意外と良かった。
生簀には、かなりたくさんの鯵がいて、釣り通じゃなくても午後の時間にあっさりと釣れた。釣った鯵は、うみファームキッチンで調理してくれる。お店で売っている鯵に比べかなり小さなサイズの鯵を釣るのに、こんなに値段がかかるか？と思ったが、調理していただいた鰺フライもグリルも美味しく頂けた。ただ、釣った魚はリリースする事が出来ず、全て買取りのため、釣りすぎには注意。
夏休みの平日だったが、飲食店は閑散としていた。
今後、飲食店の再訪はないだろう。
自宅から昼食を持参した方が良いのかもしれない。
全く期待していなかったが、朝から夕方まで楽しめた。

横浜に宿泊、夫婦で電車で行きました。
駅から近く雨風のかなり強い日でしたが、水族館の中はそんなことも気にならず快適に楽しめました。
特にいるかショーは可愛い仕草と、ダイナミックなジャンプでとても良かった。

I believe they are open all year round. But check the weather forecast first because it’s really miserable if it rains the whole day!

Hi you can buy the ticket on the spot during the arrival, print out the voucher from the website to entitle the additional discount. It is convenient and also avoid in case you change your travel plan.

I want to visit for the rides and animal parks on New Years Eve, and stay for the midnight show. Does anyone know which ticket I need to buy? Can't find any option for new years on their website!

I bought the all day tickets for my family which includes all the rides and entrance fees. I suggest you should look at all day tickets, check the website if the fireworks is park of the package.
