We went here several times during our last trip to Langkawi. I must say that these were probably the best massages I ever had. Eric is simply amazing. Give it a go if you're in he area. It's affordable and well worth the price.

We stayed with Eric at the Rumah Holistic for 10 days, and we enjoyed our time very much. Eric is an excellent host. He made our stay very enjoyable and relaxed. His place is in the Jungle, which gave us a great experience to enjoy nature and the quiet relaxing environment. Besides, Eric is a great cook and prepared delicious Breakfasts and lunch on request. If you are a nature lover and like to be away from the busy beaches and cities' hectic, this is the place to go. I am already looking forward to the next time we can visit this place.

Visited Rumah Holistic while staying in langkawi. My hubby and I had fabulous massages. Defo recommend this place

I like to go out of the way to find massages or masseuse that are specific to places I visit. We're lucky that Rumah Holistic advertises well online!
I met Ramlah who gave me what she calls a "traditional Malay massage" - deep tissue stripping (think elbow, knuckles, forearm work). This worked on me and Ramlah's massage aligned my lower back and relieved my very stiff legs and very sore back. Ramlah is a lovely, cool makcik and I felt safe being cared for by her.
I also have to give it up to the doggos - this is my bizarre, magical moment I want to share. On my second wrong turn (my problem - I didn't read the directions carefully), I spotted a group of handsome dogs frolicking about who seemed to led out of the wrong compound and up to the Rumah house.
Other notes:
Book ahead of time. Although Eric replies quickly, all instructions and initial transactions are done online. Please respect the endeavors of this small and honest business in keeping to your appointment. I think I was rather lucky to confirm an appointment (I was there at the beginning of the week, instead of a weekend).
Pay attention to the address Rumah sends over to your email! The auto-location in Grab will take you somewhere near the water about 20mins away (by walking).

A little rustic, no-frills hideaway where you can enjoy a massage away from the busy touristy areas. I was very happy with the Malay massage as it worked away all the knots and tense areas. Service was excellent, and the friendly and well-cared for dogs on site were a bonus!

Visited Eric in September on two back to back days. I did the 3 hour detox package and 2 hour Thai Herbal Ritual -- both were excellent treatments.
Eric is a highly skilled therapist who thoroughly enjoys his work. His warm welcome and low-key style were exactly what I needed on my visit. Rumah Holistic is tucked away, off the beaten path. Not a fancy spa- it's small, basic but serves its purpose well.

Une vraie expérience!
Avec un iPhone vous n’arriverez pas à réserver sur son site mais vous pourrez choisir le menu. Il faut qu’Eric vous envoie un taxi que vous paierez directement car la plupart ne trouvent pas, il sera là pour vous ramener à la fin de vos soins. Réservation obligatoire ils ne sont que deux. Vous arriverez dans un « petit Spa » local dans la cambrousse. Alors, vous pouvez vous demander où vous êtes tomber mais ERIC GOH est charmant il saura vous mettre à l’aise.
Tant qu’à faire le détour nous avons choisi le soin détoxifiant 3h, dans lequel vous aurez 3 massages différents, 1 breuvage et 2 tisanes, un peeling à la noix de coco, le choix de l’huile décontractante ou tonifiante, bref tout ce qu’il faut. Nous sommes ressorti avec une « peau de bébé » et la sensation de ne jamais avoir été aussi bien massés. Amateurs de papouilles passez votre chemin Eric est un pro et il appuiera là où vous avez des noeux (c’est souvent là où ça fait un peu mal) le massage est profond complet et précis. Ne prévoyez pas un tennis l’après-midi voir le lendemain. Vous profitez ainsi du « Reset » façon Eric que j’ai Élu champion des masseurs après en avoir écrémés quelques dizaines.
PS n’y allez pas avec des coups de soleil, rapport au peeling 🥵😜

I'm fortunate to been welcomed into Eric's private retreat in the forest. Nestled behind a local village, Rumah Holistic is a rare find. The rustic homestay is comfortable, clean and fairly priced. I loved it here and hope to return. You immediately feel welcomed and cared for. Eric is a genuine, kind, funny, interesting and helpful host. You will not be pandered to but you will be considered. Show respect, get respect. Throughout my stay (I was staying 2 nights but extended to 4 and wished for longer) Eric offered suggestions on places to visit and local restaurants and markets. He is a well traveled man who understands travellers needs.
Eric's piece of paradise is rich in bird and animal life, including monkeys. He has access to a gorgeous rainforest stream ideal for quiet reflection. His 4 darling, alert character filled dogs will welcome you and keep you company. I will miss them.
On top of this, Eric is a top class masseuse. I had 2 of the hour and a half massages which were first rate. He has extensive experience and training and his knowledge of physiology is obvious. I had the deepest sleep I'd had in ages following a treatment.
If you truly want a break from hustle and bustle and experience Langkawi away from the tourist traps then I highly recommend you contact Eric via his website.

The most popular package is the Malay Manja, but does not mean others are not good.
