Both of us had never been on a jet ski before but both had a great time and by the end of the tour were speeding across the waves. We were lucky enough to essentially have a private tour (nobody else has booked our time slot) and were able to see how knowledgeable and experienced our guide was. The people at mega water sports are enthusiastic and provided an incredible experience. The tour itself is amazing, in particular the fjords, which are some of the most naturally beautiful parts of the world I have ever seen. The sea was a little rough during our tour but after getting used to the jet skis any apprehension had disappeared. The tour delivers on everything in the description, I don’t want to go into too much detail as nothing will do it justice unless you go on the tour yourself. I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you to our guide and mega water sports for a wonderful day.

So much fun!! We did the 4 hour tour with Ari as our guide. He made us feel extremely at ease but safe, starting from the safety briefing and as we go onto our skis.
The skis are maintained extraordinarily well and look pretty much brand new, have the most comfortable seats, very powerful and are so easy to manoeuvre and control even for a first timer.
It is a 4 hour tour, with a few stops in between to look at the limestone rocks close up, swimming in a freshwater lake and exploring a beach on an island. You have the option of going solo or riding with a partner. I would recommend riding with a partner as although it is easy, the need to focus and steer can get tiring after a while if you are not used it, so having a partner means you can swap and both can still have the fun of riding a jet ski!
The tour started off with a look at the rock walls (after a 10-15 minute ride out from the beach) followed by a stop at the fresh water lake so you can swim. It does get crowded and is a 5-10 minute hike up then down many steps to get to the lake from the jetty where there are many other visitors. You must swim with a lifejacket (that's the rules) so just wear the life jacket from the jet ski down. You get an hour here or so, but this is the only stop with a bathroom (RM 1) so by the time you get your tickets and all you probably only have about 30 minutes left to play in the lake which is OK as you are only allowed to swim within a small cordoned off area.
Following that, we went to a Fjord where you get a chance to swim in the waters from the jet ski while Ari watches them for you for a bit, before heading off to another island where you get about 20 minutes on the beach to look around.
We took the morning tour and the waves were much calmer. They were considerably more choppy on our way back!

I don’t usually write reviews but this truly deserves it! I can see many people have said this is their best experience in Langkawi but I didn’t believe it myself until today. We had the most amazing experience with mega today. As activity lovers this Island hopping has probably been the best experience we’ve ever had. Beautiful amazing scenery whilst riding in the jet skis. Our instructor Ryan had the perfect amount of information and humour during our tour. He was so helpful and energetic through out. We stopped at the salt water lake and had a dip, saw eagles at lion island, stopped in a tranquil fjord for a dip, went to a private beach and just had generally amazing stunning scenery. Like views out of avatar. We were able to ride the jet skis at a decent speed but Ryan was also patient with others in our group who were not as confident.
I would come back to langkawi just for this experience.

This was easily the highlight of our trip to Langkawi. I had never driven a jetski before and had only ridden once in a calm bay for a few minutes. I was definitely apprehensive but the guys at Megawater sports gave a very easy to understand explanation of how to properly ride and control the jetski safely. Our guide Ari, better known as "James Bond" was outstanding and very attentive to how we were doing. The initial islands he made sure to start out slower to ensure we got the hang of it and dealing with all the wakes. The water is really warm so you never get cold which was awesome. The description and background of each island we stopped at was great to hear. Literally could not have asked for a more fun day. If you are a couple, I might recommend both on one jetski like we did. We took turns being the driver but it was cool to be able to talk and enjoy the excitement together, versus had we been apart on our own skis. Once again, a bit shout out to Ari who is a stellar guide!

The highlight of our Langkawi trip! It's my first time riding a jetski and it was so much fun! Island hopping on a jet ski was truly an amazing experience - definitely, one of those that I wouldn't forget!
Ari, our guide, took great care of us and ensured we were all having fun yet safe. It was also assuring that they only tour in small groups and would give you an option if you want to push through or reschedule if the weather is bad.
Highly recommended if you're visiting Langkawi!

The tour was so much fun, and a great way to explore Langkawi. Our guide was really good, very informative, and made us feel safe. Also, despite the cost being quite high, if you rent a Jet Ski anywhere else just for a few hours it ends up being more expensive for what you get. This was the highlight of our trip to Langkawi so I would highly recommend it.

We went on the 8 island jet skiing tour with Mega Water Sports having been recommended this tour by friends and by our hotel. Having now been on this tour, I fully agree that mega water sports is the best jet ski operator in Langkawi! Our guide, Ari, took us out into the open sea but made sure that we felt safe at all times. He made sure to set a speed which allowed us to go fast enough for the thrill, but made sure not to leave anyone behind. I would highly recommend this tour as it was a highlight of langkawi!

It was a really fun experience. We were on the guided tour with Ari (one of the guides), he was so sweet and really helpful. If you want to see langkawi from the sea, I would definitely recommend to book a guided tour at Mega water sport!!

We booked a day in advance quite easy the 4hrs tour through the islands with the fresh water lake. There were monkeys and a possibility to drink fresh smoothies. Shadow was our guide and did a fantastic job. Thanks for that buddy! The jetski’s were new and looked well maintained. The team did a fantastic job in making our trip unforgettable. 11 out of 10 stars. :)

We took this tour with our two sons and it was fantastic. The views were beautiful and our guide Mr Shadow provided us with information, safety procedures in a professional manner. The jet skis looked new and well maintained. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Langkawi.

What are the pros and cons of choosing the morning versus the afternoon trip? Does it tend to be cloudy in the a.m. vs afternoon? Are seas rougher in the afternoon? We are booking just cannot decided which one to pick!

I was a tourist so can’t answer re the weather. But we were on the afternoon trip and it was perfect timing: lovely and warm as we didn’t get cold, we swam multiple time and it was beautiful jetting back to base early evening. Also immediately after the JetSkiing we wandered along the beach for dinner at a beachfront cafe as the sun went down. Absolutely spectacular.
