The breakfast was disappointing, with cold side dishes (though there were some hot ones as well).
The bath was quite far from the new wing, so the soles of your feet got dirty.
When checking out, the wristband wasn't read and I had to ask the staff at the counter, but at the exit gate the security guard yelled at me that I probably hadn't checked out, which was embarrassing.
I'll never go there again.

We wanted a day at the family/kids pool, but as we arrived there we had to get en extra ticket to enter this part of the spa world (700¥). As we entered I was really dissapointed as the Facility seemed very old, broken and dingy. I didn‘t feel safe to leave the kids run arround by themselves…
At the end we went shortly to the Spa part which I really liked a lot. Nice and clean with various of baths (european baths). There are also the showers. Towels are provided.

Once you understand how the spa works, it is very pleasant to go there. Not easy for uninitiated people like us. First of all, the shoes (a classic). Then there are 2 floors for the spas, one for men and one for women which alternate every month because the themes are different (one floor on Europe and one floor on Asia). Once upstairs, you store your belongings in a locker (remember to bring change) then towels are provided and you go to the baths in your Adam and Eve outfit. We went there during the week, there weren't many people. There is a mixed swimsuit floor but we didn’t do it.
On the other hand, the swimming pool on the top floor is not too interesting. It's just a ring with a little current where you always have your feet. You will have to pay extra for 2 slides without any significant benefits even for children.

This was an amazing experience! We highly recommend it if you’re comfortable being naked in front of strangers of the same sex. There are two spa zones; European and Asian. Every month the zones changes so men have exclusive access one month, and women the next. When we went she experienced the Asian zone and he experienced the European zone. There is also a seperate sauna area with a different country focus that we could experience together. We both enjoyed our respective zones, which were themed really well and then met back at a set time at the food level to eat together. Bring swimsuits if you want to experience a couple of slides and a lazy river on the top floor. There is even comfy couches to relax in with manga comics to read!

Rainy day in Osaka, so decided to head to Spa World, which is the closest thing to a waterpark in the city.
Spa world is actually a hotel with various Onsen baths. The pool is on the 8th floor and has 2 “large” slides, a lazy river and a kind of baby area.
Entering the reception, there are ticket machines where you can buy entry or entry with pool access (there’s a tab at the top of the page to pay for pool entry). You then have to take your shoes off and put them in a locker before making your way to the changing rooms on the 4th or 6th floor. From there there is another elevator to the pool on the 8th.
Once in, turns out you have to pay separately for the slides - either 500 yen for one go or 1500 yen for a day pass. Not sure why anyone would pay just to use the lazy river, but whatever. Your wristband that you get when you buy your entry is then loaded up with the additional charge which you settle at checkout. It’s all unnecessarily complicated.
The facility itself is ok. There is no real pool so to speak. The slides are ok but there are only 2, so their novelty wears out pretty quickly. The place was empty on the Friday morning we went, so the kids had their fill.
I can’t speak for the Onsen but they looked nice.
All in all, not somewhere I would head to as a destination but not a terrible experience by any means.

It's a huge spa, or more like a larger version of a public bath. Considering the size of the facility, there are few guides and the guidance is sloppy. The first bathroom has an Asian bathtub. The arabesque tiles are slippery at the bottom. The cleaning is sloppy. 2,000 yen is too expensive. The writing is hard to read these days. They should put chairs at the reception. Not suitable for the elderly.

Had a very relaxing time here and would definitely go back. I visited alone and as a man it was the European themed spa floor. I went to the machine and bought my ticket which is a wristband with a QR CODE and walked to the area where you take of your shoes and put them in a locker you need a 100¥ coin (which you get back). You then make your way to the floor that is allocated to men to undress and put your clothes in a locker another 100¥ coin and you completely undress and get naked. You pick up your very small towel and you're ready to go. So you walk in and you have several different baths and areas to enjoy, first thing to do is go and find one of the washing areas and scrub down wash yourself thoroughly and make sure you rinse off any soap and or body lotions so you don't contaminate the water. Everyone is walking around naked so you don't need to feel self conscious as it's the norm in there. Although being a westerner I think you will get a look more as a point of oh they're is a non-Japanese person, but don't worry.
The next thing to do is just get into the first bath you come across and sit and soak and enjoy it, then get out and try the next one along, there are saunas, steam rooms, salt saunas and single baths to soak in.
Maybe 1 or 2 of the baths were TOO hot for me and I couldn't really stay in them, but I did try everything and most are usable.
I also booked a 10 minute back scrub where my back was scrubbed down and cleaned and it was really enjoyable and I have never had such a clean back. I wished I'd gone for the whole body. Maybe next time.
You book your session and get told to come back in say 10 minutes, so I just sat in the bath nearby until called. You pay for everything in there with your QR code on your wristband which makes it easy and you don't need to worry about carrying anything.
When you feel peckish you return to the changing room and they have building clothes that you help yourself too, various sizes available and you get dressed and take the lift to the food areas I had some nice noodles and a beer.
I then went back down for more soaking and you dump your building clothes in a "BIN", get naked again, get a fresh towel and go back for more.
All in all I spent about 4 or so hours in then and felt it was great fun and very enjoyable. I planned to go back again, but sadly on this visit time didn't allow.
Once you're done, you go back to the changing area, collect your clothes and get dressed, you then go to the checkout machines and pay for any food, vending machines and any massage and you are them authorised to EXIT. It's important to NOTE you STILL need to go through the checkout procedure even if you have NOT bought anything as you need this to LEAVE.
Once everything is paid for and you have checked out (EVERYONE MUST CHECKOUT even if you have not bought anything) you then lastly pick up your shoes and then you scan your wristband and you can walk out though the turnstile.
GREAT AFTERNOON/EVENING

very bad service. Employees know nothing about their jobs and give wrong information about the entrance. The woman at the counter acted like she was seeing us for the first time, even she gave us the wrong information before. She was very rude and didn't follow what she told us 20 minutes ago. Admission regulations are racist, banning certain people from entry based on their appearance. Do not go to this spa. It's really shameful.

I've lived in Kansai for 25 years, and this is the place I would most highly recommend. The hot spring is huge, but the admission fee is very cheap. They provide you with clothing, so you can work out, eat, and stay overnight. I stayed there. If you go, you'll understand. It's great!

Many of the reviews from Winter 2018 say that one of the slides is closed down in the kids area. Has anyone who has been there recently know if the kids are is completely open now?

Do kids have to be naked when going into the onsens? Particularly for the Asian, japan theme onsens? Do adults have to be naked or is it ok to have bathing suit on?

Would mid October weather too cold for kids to stay in the kid pool (spapoo) for few hours? The water at the kid pool are warm?

Not a problem at all. All pools have pretty hot water from natural hot springs.

Hello! I was wondering that if for the sauna, the individuals were required to be unclothed, like the onsen?
Thank you!

Yes. There are several saunas on the same floor as the bathing pools.

Hello! I was wondering if this was like a traditional onsen where the individual was bare?
The pool & sauna would have swimsuits though?
Thank you
Đã viết vào 27 tháng 6, 2018
There are separate floors for men and women (which rotate monthly) and everyone is naked as in a traditional onsen. There are several saunas on the 4th and 6th floors. The 8th floor, on the other hand, is open to both genders and has the pools. You need a swimsuit for the 8th floor. In the locker areas on the 4th and 6th floors, you can obtain lounge-wear to use on the other floors.
