Jardin mal entretenu. On y trouve très peu d’explications et les chemins sont mal balisés. Beaucoup d’espaces sont fermés ou en travaux ?
On peut nourrir des tortues comme partout dans l’île.
Peut-être faut-il être botaniste pour apprécier !
A l’entrée, paiement de 250 rs par personne uniquement par carte et le terminal carte bleue ne fonctionnait pas. On nous a demandé de payer sur le site ce qui oblige à avoir un abonnement téléphonique international pour ceux qui utilisent le 3D secure.

حديقة جميلة يمكنك التعرف على أهم النباتات فيها ؛ هناك رسوم عند الدخول ؛ يفضل زيارتها في وقت غير الظهيرة ؛ هناك مكان مخصص للسلاحف يمكن للأطفال اطعامها والاستمتاع بذلك ؛؛؛

The tickets were super pricey.
Right behind the spices and scent garden there is plastic laying everywhere around (bottles, rubber gloves, snickers wrappings etc..).
The geese have a 50x50 cm pond where they are bathing in 4 at the same time.. hmm
Lots of dry plants , chopped off, or fallen off are just laying around in the middle of the paths - don’t know if they don’t clean it up to keep it „natural“.
Highlight was obviously the turtles.

It’s a Botanical garden and the main attraction are the Aldabra Giant Tortoise but if you are interested in plants you can see and smell a lot of them

Sehr gepflegtes Areal mit wunderschönen Coco de Mer Palmen. Der Ausflug war um einiges kürzer als wir dachten. Der Rundgang war schnell erledigt und bei den Landschildkröten waren jede Menge Leute, die sich zum Füttern und Fotos machen, angestellt haben. Zum Glück haben wir auf unserer Reise schon einige gesehen und hatten nicht das Bedürfnis zu warten. Der Parkplatz ist begrenzt und es ist hier leider ebenfalls üblich zu warten bis jemand wegfährt. Es war trotz allem ein gelungener Ausflug und kann getrost weiterempfohlen werden.

Very interesting to visit a Tropical Botanical Garden. Obviously Green was the dominant colour but a good variety of palms and plants endemic to the Seychelles and a pleasant place to stroll around on a hot & humid day. The story behind the Coco-de-mer had some adults tittering but don't get hit in the head by one! The addition of the Aldabra Giant Tortoises was a bonus to view. The schoolkids loved the inter action feeding the tortoises but their bite can be painful!!

Great place to go in Mahe for a relaxed walk. A large variety of plants and flowers , some tortoise as well and a nice cafe for taking a snack of drinks. Relaxed and cool.

It's just too expensive for what you get. 250 scr or 35€ per person is pricy for what they offer. The gigant turtles are the highlight. The garden is compact and not really much to see. In the fact that you can make your own hiking tour all over the mahe, you can skip the botanic garden.

Sympathique à faire le jardin botanique!
Il a des jolies plantes , et surtout les tortues à voir! On peut même leurs donner à manger… prendre des photos avec elles !
Attention l’entrée est payante uniquement en carte de crédit à titre d’info !

I would like to know if you can get the bus from Victoria and if so, was it a straight trip or did you have to change buses? Also can you advise if Euro's are accepted or should we get RP? Thank you

Ich persönlich finde den Eintritt nicht überteuert. 6,50 Euro ist absolut ok. Die Seychellen sind kein billig Ziel, das wollen sie auch gar nicht sein. Der Botanische Garten ist schön für jemanden, der Pflanzen mag und wissen will, wie sie heißen. Auch die Flughunde sind den Besuch wert, wenn man sie beobachten möchte

Did you visit Le Jardin Du Roi too? If yes, which of these two would you recommend?
Also, we are planning to visit Vallee de Mai in Praslin for sure. Would you then recommend we skip these two?
I'm interested in coco de mer, spread of species (exotic and endemic), turtles etc

Hi, we only visited the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens and
thoroughly enjoyed it. Make sure you allow time to explore or you
will miss the hidden away aspects of the gardens.Very good value for money.
After speaking with other travellers and doing our own research,
we decided to give Vallee de Mai a miss as we thought it far too
expensive and had little to offer that is not available generally by getting out
into the Praslin countryside.
If you do go, would you be kind enough to let me know your thoughts?

Hello, you can use public transportation (its close to the center of Victoria) or rent a car, it is quite easy to find it (it is not far from Marie Antoinette (typical seychellois - Seselwa - restaurant)
