My husband and I had a fabulous time at the Carlyle Club. It was so fun to get dressed up and go to an elegant club. The show was the Rat Pack and they were great! We bought seats in the bar. Will definitely be back.

Been going there for 9 nine years. Booked 2 tickets for a show Sunday December 15, 2019. Sister-in-law decided she wanted to go. So I called 4 times this week and left messages for the club to return my call since they DO NOT answer the phone during the business day. Needed their help in getting a table for the three of us. These people didn't even bother to call back! After 9 years of attendance! But wait, it gets worse - went to the show Sunday afternoon and lost my scarf in the lobby of the club. Got home and called and left a message to call me back re: my lost item. Now mind you, I called 30 minutes after leaving the club! It's the next night and guess what. They haven't called back. I don't get it. This is a multi-million business and they don't answer their phone or bother to a good customer back. If the customer service at an establishment isn't good, then the establishment isn't good

Traveled to Alexandria for a holiday party with colleagues. The venue was perfect for the event -- a 20s style theme party. There was a wonderful bar area with food and apps, an area for gambling (no real $ of course), a dance floor and a lovely area for seating with plenty of comfortable and beautifully decorated tables.
The service was outstanding (carving station, bartenders, coat area, DJs, parking attendants), the food was delicious, the place (including the bathroom) was pristine. I really didn't find one thing that needed improvement. Would love to be invited to another event here ... it was worth the 45 min drive.

I and two girlfriends reserved a table to see The Golden Girlz. The venue is breathtaking, just beautiful. The food was very good. The entertainment was HORRIBLE, amateur at best! We were so disappointed we left after having our dinner. I've seen better at a middle school play.
It's a shame we couldn't get our money back, we just have to take it as a loss.

We heard that The Rat Pack would be entertaining at the Carlyle Club and went to hear them. It's a very nice venue with comfortable chairs and good view of the stage for all tables, and we had a fun evening. The service was good, but the price is high -- both for tickets and food -- and neither of us felt too well that evening. I guess our shrimp and grits didn't "sit well".
We will try it again, though, and order something else.
Parking is cheap in the garage around the corner. We paid $7 for the evening.

Visited the theater recently for a night out with my husband. The venue is nice and the show was fun. My husband and I had a great night but for the slow service from our waitress. We waited nearly one hour for 2 crab cakes which at $36 were just okay at best. Working the service and perhaps the next time I visit my review will be 100% favorable.

I went for a recent Thursday night show with a friend and really enjoyed the space and the entertainment.
The food wasn’t so great - lacking flavor and quite pricey - but I’ll return for music and drinks in the future!

Fun night and feel. Great if you want to dance or have a different evening with dinner and music. Food was nothing to write home about, but had figured that out from other reviews and sites so knew before going. The booths are super fun if you can snag one early.

Since Carlyle Club stopped Thursday date nights, we began to overlook this option for a night out for dinner and live entertainment near the King St subway metro station in Alexandria, VA. While now primarily a destination for private groups, occasionally they still have opportunities like this night for social dancing to live music. There is easy, free parking on the street on Sunday evenings or always the option to use the garage (@$7 flat fee at 2050 Ballenger in pm) just past the club on the left. Even the parking attendant is friendly & helpful. This is a slightly different location from what we visited a few years ago but the Art Deco vibe feel with white tablecloths remains.
Service was attentive and the menu offerings have significantly improved in variety and taste. We each had the sea bass special, an attractive entree with a southern twist: the sea bass filet was atop a hash brown patty with a tangy mango sauce & asparagus spears. We topped off the wintry evening with Irish coffees.
The entertainment was the Satin Doll Trio, a congenial jazz group, that was exceptional. This evening they performed a medley of 30 & 40s music but arranged to fit a variety of dance styles including foxtrot, swing, cha cha & salsa.
We were having so much fun that when we left, I forgot my purse at our table. Fortunately, management had retrieved my purse & with much relief & gratitude, I picked it up the next morning.
We will definitely return more sooner than later.

I decided to treat my husband to something different for Vday since he makes me feel like every day is Vday! Made reservations for this dinner club since they had live entertainment too. We were not disappointed! The decor reminds you of a 1920's Upscale Club. We got there early, so we sat at the bar until our table was ready. Our server, Debbie was very friendly and attentive. I ordered crab cakes which were decent for this time of the year. My husband had filet mignon which had been overcooked. So, the waitress took it back without hesitation and he ordered crab cakes as well. The red velvet cake was delish. We were able to park right next to the restaurant. The entertainment was a young lady named Nora Oldum. She had a beautiful voice and took requests. They had a dance floor which many of us took advantage of. Very romantic eve!

Business casual is sufficient. Although the evening I went there was everything from soup to nuts. Enjoy.
