It’s easy all you need to know is balance the cycle

The B:Live team are very friendly and amenable and I'm sure will be able to advise and even adapt the route if necessary, according to your fitness and capability. If you are used to riding bikes and have a reasonable level of fitness, it should be manageable for you (though that's perhaps not the most helpful statement as it's difficult to quantify a 'reasonable level of fitness': is your walking ability unlimited or do you get breathless with hills or anything? Do you ride bikes at home?) I did the cultural tour of Panjim and there was one big hill on the route, but the throttle on the bike and the pedal-assisted power made it easy work (especially in the heat of the afternoon). I loved the cultural tour so much that I also booked onto the Divar island tour two days later. Our guide kindly adapted the route so we could also take in Old Goa. Again there was one particularly steep (but short) hill, and which required 2 out of 3 of us to get off our bikes before we reached the top. I found though that I could use the throttle help 'pull' me up whilst walking, rather than having to push the bike. As I say, your tour guide might be able to amend the route if you don't feel you'd be able to manage but I suspect you'll be fine. The Panjim cultural tour requires some negotiation of the traffic, but our guide always stopped to dismount whenever we had to cross a road, rather than trying to turn right across the traffic. The Divar island tour involves much quieter roads and very little traffic. The two tours offer very different things: the cultural tour takes in some really nice hidden gems in the city (art centre, galleries, bakery, temple, churches) which I wouldn't otherwise have got to on foot, whilst the island tour was more about escaping from the hustle and bustle for a bit, with a few historical sites thrown in. It really is worth going on one of their tours - please don't be dissuaded by the prospect of hills...I HATE cycling up hills, but the bikes made it pleasurable. The guides were really lovely, there were a few little surprises along the way and the scenery at the top of the hills made it worthwhile. As for finding the place, it is a little tricky as it is tucked behind a multi-storey car park and took a while for me to find but I'd allowed plenty of time to walk there. Looking on Google maps, it's on Avenida Dom Joao de Castro, just to the west of the flyover so aim for that: I made the mistake of approaching from the MG road which made it less obvious.
