We stumbled upon this place and I am grateful for it. For a nominal fee of 3 RON, you get to roam around a vast area, looking at houses dating from centuries ago, reading about their importance in history and breathing in the fresh air that we (sometimes) miss in a big city. There's no time pressure, so feel free to take rests, look around, allow yourself to take it all in. You won't regret it.

It takes time to take a long walk. Ethnologically very good. Staff in great help and guidance. We were lucky and we also saw the interior of three buildings.

Very nice place, a great visit in the past. I highly recommend. You can visit some of the houses inside.

Het museum is meer een dorp dan een specifiek gebouw het zijn meerdere gebouwen op afstand van elkaar. Het dorp omhelst een aantal gefortificeerde woningen uit de jaren 1818 tot 1828. Het interieur is in tact gelaten en geeft een duidelijk overzicht van de bewoners en hun dagelijks leven in die tijd. De mogelijkheid van het maken van foto's was ruimschoots aanwezig. Het is een bezoek dat bij daadwerkelijke interesse zeker een paar uur in beslag neemt.

A wonderful nature place with very interesting old buidings and artefacts inside , an old school ( the beginning of the 20th century) and a very old church on the top of the hill -1785. Peaceful atmosphere and a very green area during the summer.
The question - Is this attraction wheelchair accessible? Yes for a part of the museum , but not for the entire area.

Very interesting place with old buildings and art pieces in a natural place rebuild like an old village. You can visit an old school, church, houses relocated and originals with all the things inside. And you will like very much the guide too!

It is a splendid place to spend a couple of hours if you are in the near. You can visit some houses in the open air museum or juat walk around. Also a good place with kids. Our host, Traian was a great guide. He speaks English fluently and told us interesting stories and facts about the neighborhood and village life in this part of Romania. Friendly staff and professional service. A very good memory for us.
