For sure it’s not a breathtaking place and unfortunately probably most Romanian people today don’t know who Anton Pann actually was and did. It’s a a small place, with a few rooms to check out, but it’s 100% authentic, with items more than 160 years old. It tells a history about a man who did too many great things to be unfairly mostly forgotten, including the current national anthem (lyrics by Andrei Muresanu).
The curator of this place was extremely helpful, she gave me an insightful presentation and deep answers on my questions about Anton Pann. I was the only visitor, on a Sunday morning, from entering to leaving. You can also buy a few small souvenirs. The entry fee for an adult is only 6 RON, probably no cards payment is possible. Parking is available nearby.

Anton Pann, with Ottoman roots, has enriched the Romanian culture with music for lute mainly for church and the many proverbs, which are today still know and even used by Romanians. He is famous for being the writer of the national hymne. The well conserved memorial house is a contribute to him and tell visitors how rich Romania is in view of cultural heritages. The house gives in the basement an overview of his work and the influence on cultural development. The first floor shows the visitor the living, bed and study room as well as the kitchen with element of his live around 1830-1840.

Great place to visti with ur family. Anton Pann lived there for a while; he was an important man of culture who gave us, among other things(religious music, poems, folklore gatherings) the music of the actual national hymn.

Is the house in which it seems that Anton Pann lived for a while. It's positioned in the heart of Ramnicu Valcea and it is small, old and charming! It is not always open for tourists but even from the outside is beautiful

i loved seeing this house. small, very well taken care of, not crowded as a museum. not a big price for visiting it. to bad that being so small you finish quickly.

Questa piccolla casetta e' un vero gioiello nel cuore di Ramnicu Valcea che risale dalla meta del XVIII secolo. Si possono visitare tutte le stanze con arredamento semplice ma molto interessante, dove, tranne i mobili si possono anche trovare alcuni oggetti personali di Anton Pann, il noto compositore di musica religiosa e popolare, che ha anche creato la musica dell' inno nazionale della Rumania.
C'e' una tassa d'ingresso, ma e' quasi niente. Il sentimento che ti da l'interno della casa, arredata come se ci fosse ancora qualcuno a vivere li, e' molto speciale.
La cosa interessante pero e' il fatto che la casa non era dove si trova adesso, ma e' stata spostata durante alcuni lavori anni fa. Foto risalenti da questi lavori (incluso il spostamento di questa struttura) si possono trovare lungo la strada principale della cita', faccendo parte da una collezione piu ampia, che il sindaco di Valcea ha deciso di mettere insieme in questa esposizione stradale.
