Excellent service, good coffee and cake. Seating next to the wood burning stove in entrance area (allows dogs) rather than in the cafe itself menu. Perhaps neat year.

The Visit Scotland Information Centre closed at the end of the 2018 season. The building, close to the pier, is now operated by Essence of Harris as a shop.

I visited by accident, while waiting for the ferry to Uig. They figured this out when I picked up information about Skye. They told me that the ferry was cancelled and immediately started searching for an open room for me to stay as the town was pretty booked up and sent me over to talk to the ferry people. Incredibly helpful and friendly.

The staff were knowledgeable and helpful with info. and although it was very near closing time did not rush us. Plenty of leaflets, maps etc

We arrived at the centre with a couple of simple questions that were never answered. We did however witness a level of service offered to a German couple that was far and beyond the call of duty. The couple had booked accommodation at the wrong Tarbet for four nights. They had nowhwere to stay and the staff member continued to call non stop until she found something for them with transport arrangements to match. The booking was confirmed long after closing time and she invited them to return the day after to finalise accommodation for a further three nights. We witnessed exceptional service from a very committed staff member. We were very proud to be Scottish at that point.

Although experiencing some problems of their own the staff were very helpful. They were courteous and friendly. Highly recommend

Located in the heart of Tabert, this centre had a really good selection of leaflet and great maps - which you will need!
Staff were extremely helpful and gave advice beyond the leaflets to find some of the many gems of Harris.

Visited twice. Quite a packed shop, a nightmare when busy. Not the cheapest, given that it's local goods they are selling. The staff were friendly and helpfull.

I have to agree with you that at times the iCentre can feel extremely packed and busy - especially when ferries are either departing or arriving. I'm really pleased that you felt the staff were both friendly and helpful, as I know Alex, Carol and Judi work hard to deliver the best service possible.
With regard to the retail, we are very fortunate to have a Retail Team who have been working hard to improve the range of local suppliers and products on offer in each of our Centres and are constantly reviewing the range. I have therefore fed your comments back to them so that we can take them into consideration as we look at the plans for Tarbert moving forward.
Thank you for sharing your views following your visit, as these are invaluable both in recognising what our customers value and working to improve on the areas they feel we could do better in.
