This temple is one of the main tourist attractions in Bagan. There is no access to the second storey.
There are so many temples to see in Bagan, that it gets a bit boring after visiting a few. Especially with the rule to remove shoes and socks. Cleaning my feet after every visit to a temple, became tiresome.

Il tempio Sulamani è uno dei più importanti di Bagan. Grandioso e racchiuso in una cerchia di mura, al momento della nostra visita aveva ancora la guglia in fase di recupero dopo i danni del terremoto del 2016 ma era visitabile internamente dove è decorato con quelli che sono probabilmente i migliori affreschi di Bagan. Oltre a raffigurazioni anche grottesche, è famosa per il Buddha che ti segue con gli occhi mentre cammini nel corridoio.

Sulamani Guphaya Temple was built by King Narapatisithu. The temple has a Meditation Monument. You can see many Ink words and well painting in the wall. It has two story building structure and amazing architecture style.

It was under restoration when we visited this pagoda. It is one of the famous and popular pagoda in bagan. Must visit.

Very elegant multi-storey structure called Sulamani Pagoda. The Sulamani is a two storey structure with a square layout with a spire ornament shaped like an umbrella on top of it – its red brick color lits up beautifully when the sun tends to go down. We had find the beautiful picture of sun setting.

1193年の建立。寺院の東西南北にはそれぞれに仏像があり、壁画も印象的な寺院です。フレスコ画から当時も様子をうかがい知ることが出来て興味深い寺院でもあります。寺院は外見からも2重構造が見て取れます。

Surrounded by a circular wall, inside a large part of it is used by local shops selling souvenirs. A viewing mound is very near for sunset use, to avoid crowds we took in that view daytime. Currently the top is covered with scaffold and green sheeting undergoing repair.

Hoy después de ver nuevamente Sunrise en Bagan, me fui a conocer El Templo Sulamani, un imperdible si visitas Bagan.
Es un templo budista que está ubicado en el pueblo de Minnanthu y es uno de los más visitados en la zona. Este templo data de finales del siglo XII y fue construido por el rey Narapatisithu.
El templo cuenta con 2 pisos de ladrillo estructural y en su acceso una gran terraza, por lo que da un aspecto piramidal al templo.
En los 4 accesos que tiene el templo en su parte baja, se pueden apreciar imágenes de Buda, pero en la entrada principal el Buda de oro se encuentra sentado, con una mano sobre su pies y zona abdominal, mientras que la derecha la tiene puesta sobre la parte baja de la rodilla.
Los demás budas que se encuentran en el templo son de color blanco y café rojizo.
Al recorrer los pasillos interiores, encuentras pinturas con fresco, bueno lo que se conserva aún, ya que varias se han desprendido de la pared por los terremotos. El 40% de ellas son originales, así como las pinturas de la pared las cuales son del año 1183 aprox. Por el exterior aún se conserva paree de la estructura original, así como algunas pinturas en los accesos.
Yo me quede pasmado con esas pinturas, son maravillosas y me temo que no duren muchos años más. Ojalá Myanmar tome medidas sobre la conservación de su riqueza cultural. 🙏🏽🧘🏽♂️🙏🏽.

The upper part of the temple fall down. But fortunatelly the inside temple has been preserved. At the moment they already start to restore with UNESCO help.

Hello! Does anyone have suggestions for how to make a reservation at Motel Zein? We tried booking at Asia Travel's system but was told we could not booked because of nationality (US). We think this location is great and would love to stay here, but haven't found a way to actually book. Thank you!
