The buildings were absolutely gorgeous. The views were also beautiful, and the library was very abstract. The overall style is classic, sometimes putting in some modern buildings.

One of the most important public universities in the US, and also my alma mater,, is also a good place for a long walk to admire the architecture and landscaping. The hillside can be steep.

Interesting campus mounted on a hill. Great views of the terrain below. I can see attendants getting into good physical condition just from walking to classes on campus.

Berkeley is a really nice place to visit for a day. The campus is beautiful and the town itself is charming with a lot of nice shops and restaurants. It's also easy to get to on the BART.

This is truly a gorgeous campus for visiting, walking and exploring. World class education in beautiful environs. Nothing not to like in my opinion.

We visited the campus to attend our daughter's graduation. It's a beautiful campus with lots of trees and winding streams. Graduation was lovely, and we only walked a few minutes from the building before we found a nice place to take pictures.

UC Berkeley is truly one of the nicer California universities to visit, especially in the winter with the nice cold breeze. All the buildings were constructed with architectural thought, and there was plenty of greenery to enjoy. The campus was extremely open-aired and felt more like a park at times.
The campus is extremely large and definitely takes a few hours if you want to explore it in more detail. The surrounding area also features many nice stores, including a few ramen restaurants and bookstores. The student shop had nice merchandise, albeit expensive.

What a nice place to wander... rolling a bit of hillside wonderful buildings to look at and students excited to begin the new school year. If your visiting in the Berkeley area a nice place to hang.

Easy option to park car and then hike in the campus up to the hills. We prefer to go when university is closed. It’s less crowded and easy to find a parking spots. Lots of eating options around the campus.

We didn't have the time to walk the entire campus, but we did walk a chunk of it. Great landscaping and classic architecture define this campus.

Top of the game foodie yes Berkeley California is a great place to live but it’s pricey there and all over the Bay Area. Not to sure about Aquatic Park Area it’s a nice place to live well 2 Da YAy Area Lol 😎🥂🍾One Love 🚨One World 🌍 One Lifetime 🌆

take BART. it takes 9.75 to downtown Berkeley. then get free shuttle of university.

I have a niece from Southeast Asia who will be visiting San Francisco in Feb 2016, how do we get to UC Berkeley from Union Square and is there a website we could request or view information regarding foreign student's application and admission requirement for an undergraduate business degree? She will be in 11th grade next year. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You can take the Richmond line to Downtown Berkeley and from there the campus is a bus ride/10-15 minute walk north. Ryan L is correct that in order to be accepted into Haas you must apply separately upon being accepted to UC Berkeley. Applications are typically done in the sophomore year after completing the pre-requisited and writing the necessary essays. You can find more information about this on the Haas website (just search apply to Haas undergraduate Berkeley in Google) and I would suggest going to Haas itself when visiting rather than the undergraduate office in Sproul if you are looking for more detailed answers. Additionally, if you have any international student questions go to Berkeley International Office, on Piedmont. It is quite close to Haas in proximity as well.
