Tilden regional Park is a world class park. This park is a must-see for locals and tourists alike. You'll find everything ranging from model trains that the family can ride on to a miniature farm for the kids to visit animals, oh and adults can visit the animals too. There's tons of hiking and some of the best views of the San Francisco Bay area.

Incredible park. Coupled with Wildcat Canyon, there are miles and miles and miles of hiking and biking trails with plenty of wildlife as well (coyotes, birds of prey, river otters, etc.). You really feel like you get away even though you're 5 minutes from Berkeley and/or El Cerrito. It's our go to. By the way, there are amazing little kids things to do as well - the little farm, merrygoround, and miniature train rides.

This huge regional park is up in the hills above Berkeley and some other East Bay cities. It is full of wonderful attractions and a great place to spend the day.

Tilden Regional Park, also known as Tilden Park or Tilden, is a 2,079-acre regional park in the East Bay, part of the San Francisco Bay Area in California. It is between the Berkeley Hills and San Pablo Ridge. Its main entrance is near Kensington, Berkeley, and Richmond. Nearby Ocha Tea Cafe & Restaurant is my recommendation for food.

Parking can be limited. Nice visitors center with lots of information and restrooms. Hiking trails were nicely maintained. Very pretty scenery.

Must go to inspiration point and hike/walk the paved trail. So peaceful, beautiful trees, stunning views, you will not be disappointed.

Great organization, those with reservations had their own line and could have first pick of “horses”. The rides were not crowded and the open doors allowed plenty of fresh air.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and was busy but still peaceful. Two playgrounds for kids plus a concrete slide. Basketball Court and ball field were is use. Hiking trails and some picnic tables were available. Near campus. No off street parking so plan on a walk to get there from a distant parking spot.

We did a little walk here today and enjoyed the great outdoors. On a Monday afternoon there were not many people around so it was very safe. Big open spaces, lots of trees and green, a huge area.

If you are looking for a nice spot for a BBQ with a big group of friends, the Tilden park has a great BBQ area. It is perfect for families with kids. The weather is usually nice but it can get really cold in the afternoon.
