How can you go wrong with this magnificent rock. The hike is easy and worth your time. Facinating views that you wont forget.

Wonderful area for exploration and boondocking

Set out here to explore a possible future camping option. Beautiful desert landscape just minutes from downtown Lone Pine. We ventured a bit over a mile past the end of the paved road to arrive at the trailhead for the Arch formation. That turned out to be an enjoyable easy hike. Wonderful area for photos. We will return.

Not much to say about the Mobius Arch Loop. Parked at one end of the dirt parking lot and at one end you hiked around the loop and came out the other end, hinse loop. Easy Hike, short but interesting.

Beautiful, Unique Hiking Opportunity

Beautiful, unique hike, and while this is an easy trail I would recommend sturdy shoes. This is such a beautiful area with some facinating formations. Very worth the effort and some unique photo opportunities. Highly Recommend!

Very short but takes you to the most famous arch in California

This is a very short, but scenic, and easy loop. From the parking lot, you see Heart Arch, then you go on this loop through many boulders, and then visit the Mobius Arch, if you are going counterclockwise. The view of looking though Mobius Arch to Mt. Whitney is a classic photographic shot not to be missed.

Out of this world experience!

The whole Alabama Hills area seems like an out of place landscape, such interesting formations that seem to have been dropped into an area that it doesn't fit.... and that is what is so amazing about the experience. Within the hills is a great little trail through some of those interesting formations, arches, even a heart in the hills! We loved the topography and all of the interesting rocks. We hiked early on a June morning and took our dog, but he still got very hot, we wouldn't take him again if we went. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area!

Easy trail

We are heading to Bishop from Los Angeles for the fall colours. We decided to stop at Lone Pine for the Mobius Arch Rock. There’s no signal in the car park, so please download the map before you enter the park. A mile of dirt road before the car park so be safe. No washroom in the park.

It just took 10 minutes to talk from the car park to the rock. It’s a beautiful place and the trail is easy.

Awesome arches

Wonderful views of mountains in the background. Three Arches. Hike is a loop, but the right side of the parking lot point is tougher than the left side starting point. (I'd say that the right side is more moderate. The Left side is easy, but has dirt slopes) Windy area. Use the bathroom beforehand- no restrooms. Partially dirt roads, but easy drive.

Great photos possible

Trail is all crushed rock/sand. Some places were not well marked so we had to make a few extra turns/u-turns during the hike. The arch itself is pretty cool. Had a sunny day so was able to some pix thru the arch with Mt Whitney in the background.
