Staff was friendly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and I was able to tee off early. Putting green was bad and I hope it didn’t reflect the conditions of the regular greens……………it did. Greens were in bad shape. I would rate it a ⭐️⭐️. I understand they had some cold weather in April that messed up the greens but cost for green fees should be reduced. The first four holes were in the woods and the rest were links style golf holes. Sand traps needs serious attention as many were not raked and a lot had weeds in them. I rate them ⭐️⭐️. Some areas around the sand trap had unusually tall grass. A lot of dry spots on the course that needs attention. Gorgeous scenery though and that rates a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. You have to stay in the fairway or end up losing your ball. I talked to a gentleman from Chicago after my round and he did not like the course. I liked it but too many areas along the course needs improvement. Reduction in green fees is warranted.

My bag sat at the valet for 45 minutes while other bags were brought down - just not mine. I ended up having to go get it myself. If you are looking for a place to grab breakfast before your round (I was there at 8am) you have a choice between a buffet or a place that sells bagels for $5. Don't show up hungry or expecting to get a momosa before you start.

The starter and the people in the pro shop were generally nice. The golf course is challenging and your aim needs to be spot on. The rough will eat your ball and you will never see it again - so stay on the fairway!

If you're looking for a beautiful mountain valley course surrounded by snow-capped peaks and mountain ponds, this is it. The course is 5-stars in scenery. It is, however, deceptively hard. The fairways are narrow, and if you don't hit them, you're in marshy terrain. All the water from the valley drains around the course, so if you hit an errant ball, you're likely in swamp-land. You can get surprising deals by looking online. I was able to get a $40 green fee that included a cart. My advice...play the course, just don't play it as your first outing of the year (as I did). Also bring a dozen balls or so...just in case. :)

Scenic. For ladies, need substantial carry on some holes. Half of our foursome unable to get past tall meadows and onto fairways which made them very frustrated. They swore never to play there again. Two of us have better drives which made that part a non-issue. That being said, if you miss a fairway, course is unforgiving. I usually can play with the same ball for 3 rounds in So Cal. I lost 6 balls because ball rolled into tall rough adjacent to fairway. We stayed at resort & would play here again if I stayed at resort simply because it is convenient to do so. The surrounding mountains & pines make the course picturesque. There is a road nearby so not especially peaceful. Loved the challenge of the target practice. Bring extra balls & ENJOY!

I played this course twice last week. You have to be accurate. You will lose some balls, but you will find some. The course wasn't in the greatest shape due to a severe winter, but it was great fun to play. Narrow and twisting it is a course to play.

We reserved stiff flex clubs for my husband and were promised they would have them. Showed up, loaded up the carts and guess what? It's a grab bag of miscellaneous clubs! Half were for seniors, three quarters of what remained were regular and two were actually stiff flex. My husband usually brings his own but couldn't on this trip (he hits extra stiff). They tried desperately to cover it up and play it off and convince him to just "try to hit them". Such a disappointment. Then they were rude when we decided to cancel.

Note to Squaw: take 10 minutes a day and sort through your rental clubs and organize them so that you can avoid this rather unnecessary problem.

The Scenery of this course is very beautiful. what is not so inviting is how tight the course is. Bring lots of balls and read your yardage book carefully. I do recommend playing the course for a good challenge.

On my way back from San Francisco, we decided to get a round on the way home. So, we chose Squaw Creek. What a mistake! Several of the greens were still pot marked from the spring plug. The fairways are very narrow and any wayward shorts are penal. The day before, we had played TCP Harding Park and bad shots still left some hope of salvaging the next shot. No lost balls there...lost 7 at Squaw! No bail out areas. Oh..and the wind out of the mountain valley was howling! Were we advised of the wind conditions or greens? NO! Were any discounts offered? NO! Will we ever play there again? NO.

Not a long course but very tight, if you spray at all..better bring LOTS of balls. I played last weekend and there was a three club wind affecting many of the holes. Better to be short than long on most holes. Large greens but uneven speed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bought vouchers from Travelzoo for $55 and was good anytime. It also includes valet parking. They bring the clubs down to the pro shop and back up to valet when done. Mostly mountain/resort views so pretty but not spectacular. None of the holes stand out and the layout is a little strange.

The fairways are very tight and if you go off, there is a good chance you will not find your ball. It's not very busy and the views are excellent.
