This is a great place to walk. There is a concrete path all the way around the lake. The somber but wonderful Columbine memorial is just off the walking trail.

Came out to the park to walk around and get some exercise. First time here. It’s a huge park. There was a soccer camp going on with tents and activities. There is an amphitheater area and ball fields. There were picnics in the picnic shelters, children playing in the play structures, bicyclists, walkers and people enjoying multiple activities. It was a busy day at the park. Lots of vehicles in the parking lot which was large but crowded.
The area is well maintained. Restrooms are available. I’d don’t know how it is inside but he didn’t complain when he went in so I guess it’s ok. The children’s play area is so fun. The equipment looks new and has play structures and a music section. They are labeled so you know the recommended age groups.
We saw prairie dogs everywhere on our walk. They were chattering when dogs approached or if someone went too close to them. It was funny to see and hear them sounding the alarm. We stumbled upon the Columbine Memorial. It was amazing. Peaceful and reflective. The messages on the wall and tributes to the victims were moving. We walked in and out of the memorial, paying our respects. Stopped and looked at the columbines and water feature. Shared the space with others, all of us quietly thoughtful or speaking in hushed voices.
This park is fantastic. Large and accommodates many different activities and groups. Different animals and birds call it home. And nestled amongst the bustle, a quiet space for reflection. We didn’t manage to explore the whole area but we now know where to go should we need a place.

A visit to the Columbine Memorial is a must. You really feel the love and the sadness about what happened here. It’s a beautifully designed memorial that welcomes you in at the top of a hill above the school and then when you’re in the middle of the memorial you feel like the hill that is surrounded you is cradling and comforting you. There’s a water feature and inscriptions about each student and teacher that were lost. Take the outer walkway that encircles the inner memorial to the top of the hill and you will get a beautiful view looking down into the memorial itself and you also get an excellent view of the school and the surrounding area.

Very nice memorial at the top of the hill of this park. As a graduate of Columbine I feel it is an important memorial to have. These students and teacher will never be forgotten and this is a very nice space to reflect and remember.

The park was busy with a concert the evening we visited so parking was limited. We only went to the Columbine Memorial area of the park. The Wall of Healing includes plaques with quotations from students, teachers and parents. There are plaques identifying the deceased from the April 20, 1999 massacre. It was quite touching to see the small mementos that have been left at some of the plaques. Because of my visit, I have now started reading the book Columbine by Dave Cullen.

I frequently enjoy walking along the paved 1.4 mile track around the Johnston Reservoir. Every day there are plenty of interesting people walking, skating, or bicycling to view the geese, ducks, coots and herons. Springtime is especially enjoyable to see a mother duck with 8 or 9 of her ducklings trailing her in the water.

Clement park is a model of neighborhood recreational areas with picnic shelters, walking trails, tennis courts, and even batting cages! The crown jewel for the year for the Clement Park functions is the Fourth of July celebration. The gathering of people from the area with family and friends all sharing wonderful lawn space to watch a spectacular Fourth of July display is a true celebration of both the holiday and the location. I grew up next-door to the man this park is named after and it is a wonderful legacy to his memory.

I'm going to my granddaughters baseball game Sat. May 19, 2018. I have spent a great deal of time trying to find a decent map so I know where parking areas are. I need to find handicapped parking too. I don't know yet what field she will be on but that shouldn't matter if there is a map that shows all the parking areas! HELP! This is the first of many parks she and her brother play in that doesn't have a map to get in and out and for parking!

There are plenty of handicapped parking areas all around the park in all the lots. You should be fine.
