Just a random selection to visit here. Very pretty! Admission is usually $6 but today we were not charged, they have an event tonight that everyone seems quite focused on. The inside has a lovely photography gallery and on the opposite wing there's a children's center. They have a digital microscope hooked up to a flat screen that I could have played with all afternoon. I needed to move on because I guess other kids were waiting. The trails in the back are well manicured and a fun zig-zag down the hill. This is a nice place to spend a couple hours outside.

Very cool trails throughout the Center, in particular the glacial rock debris in the northern section. Lots of birds and wildlife and great canopy above. Really good in the off season.

New trails through olde woods are always intriguing, but when the starting point is a mansion right out of the fabled House of the Seven Gables, you gotta be awestruck. And just getting to the trail is great fun, passing through hilly treed country and the abundance of toney residences. My small band of trail blazers was fascinated by the cutaway bee hive at the center, along with several other nature displays. Out on the trail, be warned that the path is downhill and what goes down, must come up. The trail is pleasantly winding with the nearby pond and its contingent of bull-frogs during mating season growling at each other. And what would a nature trail be without a boardwalk over wetlands, complete with masses of ferns and lettuce leaves. The trail’s halfway point is the Mead Lake Dam, restraining the onrushing waters of the long lake. It’s a decent enough hike roughly equivalent to a hilly 9 holes and makes for a shady walk on a steamy day.

This Audubon Center is not huge but it has very interesting and educational programmes about birds in this area, including demonstation of hawks and eagles.

This is quite a lovely park, with many trails. The staff is very knowledgeable about getting information about which trail is right for your party. Be sure to walk down to the pond. We experienced lots of frogs and turtles and even a Northern watersnake!

The Audubon center is covered with miles of hiking trails and it’s always an adventure every time you go there. It is well maintained and every time I’m there it seems to get better.

This was one of the first places I visited when coming to the area and I keep coming back. The forest is expansive and trails fairly well marked. No pets allowed, so the wildlife has a chance to be seen. The lake trail is a favorite spot.

This center is amazing. Filled with trails, activities for children and adults. My favorite program is the class in raptor identification and the hawk watch. Great for kids, families, couples and individuals.

I am unsure as to whether bikes are prohinited, but I suggest you call ahead. The paths are OK for mountain bikes.

The building is accessible. The entrance level has the lovely gift shop and a large meeting room where many events take place, and which usually has a small art exhibition of photographs, prints, etc. Downstairs are classrooms and other meeting spaces. The long side wall which faces the meadow and woods consists of large plate glass windows for bird and animal watching. I believe there's an elevator. Restrooms are accessible. So good for anyone with a cane or walker or even a wheelchair. Outdoors the ground is too rough for good balance if someone is challanged.
