We visited here during the week after Labor Day. We went in the evening about 6PM, then during the day another day. Although we walked down to the water we did not spend the day on the beach. It was not busy at all. The boardwalk was clean, and we enjoyed our visit!

I went to Rehoboth for 2 days and paid for parking the entire time through the ParkMobile app. Unfortunately I had entered my license plate number incorrectly by one digit. I received 2 tickets for both days. When I went to the parking authority before leaving town, someone there said I had the wrong license plate number. I showed them my parking receipts to show that I had actually paid for parking. They waived one day and told me to appeal the other or pay for it. I appealed, but I was denied and they also raised the fee. Even with proof that I had paid almost $50 in parking, they didn't care. Yes, it is a revenue stream for Rehoboth. But let's be fair to people who are actually paying.

Nice place to walk/jog in the morning. We arrived on a Weds and the beach was not crowded. However when we went down on Saturday morning it got packed! Dolphins most mornings, water was warm, and weather perfect!

There is an umbrella company that puts up umbrellas for you. We came at 9:30 am and it was absolutely packed. The water was cold. It was exactly clean water. Huge waves that wipe you out. Lifeguards on beach. Great boardwalk. We saw a pod of dolphins. Taps outside to clean u r feet. Restrooms outside!

This whole area here is waaaaaaayyy over crowded traffic and more traffic I came here Rv camping and to meet friends we actually drove to see the beach to no avail can’t see it unless you pay to park (no spots)and walk a long distance
I’m from Florida so the beach is no big deal but to my upstate NY friends it is they’re going tomorrow ,I’ll pass I hate crowds and stay in the campground ,
Funny thing they have a scooter rental place none were rented too much traffic

The beach has a steep incline down to the water. You can't ride in the waves here. Bogie boards are good for riding waves in. It was very rough one day and you could only go out knee high. On calm days, you can go out farther. Where the waves are breaking there are rocks and shells that hurt your feet so you may want to wear water shoes. Beach is clean and you can rent chairs snd umbrellas. Go early as beach gets very crowded especially on weekends.

This was a very nice clean beach. We went on a Monday so it wasn't too busy. They have umbrella and chair rental that was a decent price. We loved the boardwalk that bordered the beach and there were lots of options for food, shopping and activities.

I’ve been to many beaches in my life but this one was by far the most crowded. No room to even walk without dodging people. Also, watch out for the jellyfish!

I wouldn’t mind the parking tickets IF the beach / water was clean to enjoy ! Now, I’m not talking about the quality of water ( maybe they do their tests and maybe it’s ok to get in ), but the visual is very muddy / dirty looking !
And than the crowds - I’m like “ are they victims like me 😂😂”!!! Where are all those ppl going ?!
NJ shores are much much better ( better water , quieter) ! I wouldn’t return here for sure !!!

Is there a service that I can rent beach chairs and umbrellas for the week and have the set up on the beach daily? I know we can rent from some various vendors but o am looking to have the. Set up everyday (like they do in Myrtle Beach).

I always stay at The Atlantic Sands and walk down! But I do see off street parking nearby, I believe metered Memorial Day through Labor Day

I didn't see any bonfires but then we were only up by the boardwalk area.
Beach slope: is it dangerous for kids who don't know how to swim?

I agree that the waves can get pretty strong, but they should be fine if you stay in the area just beyond the gravel. There's also quite a few holes as you go in deeper, but you will see lots of kids with floating devices as well. Enjoy!

Technically no. There are public bathrooms but it is posted that you are not supposed to change in them. I think people often break the rules, though. There definitely aren't lockers. The State parks both at Cape Henlopen and down at Delaware Seashore State park do have changing and shower areas.

I have always felt safe in Rehoboth beach. There are lots of families with children of all ages who go to Rehoboth so your family is sure to fit in comfortably. Just remember to check hotel rates to get the Best Buy for your money. There are numerous options, from expensive to reasonable and everything in between. I hope you'll love the area as much as I do. I've been returning here since the 1980s.
