This park is worth it if you are looking for more radical rides than the other parks in Orlando can offer. Very fun day.

The rides were being a shutdown due to inclement weather, but there wasn't inclement weather. Also, they didn't want you to stand by the ride entrance to wait for the ride to open, which makes no sense. The tickets were expensive. They should accommodate time lost at these parks. DISNEY makes 4billion a year. Get it together.

Awesome if you’re into rides (thrill rides). If not, go elsewhere. Had delays on Velocicoaster. Long lines. Didn’t do express as we had a 5 day pass and just went back the next day. However, if you’re there for 1-2 days consider getting the express pass. Expensive. Stay on property. Get there early.

Thank you for this review. I love that you had a lot of fun at our attractions, but regret any disappointment with the cost of the Universal Express Passes. I hope you got the chance to dine at one of my favorite restaurants, Confisco Grille, and definitely encourage stopping in on your next adventure with us!

We all love this park it has some amazing rides in particular spiderman and Harry Potter. Would highly recommend visiting here

Love this park. Me and my family have been here many times since we were younger and have enjoyed it every-time, as all the rides are great fun. We visited here 4 times during our 17days stay in Orlando. Although, the first day coming here during our trip, we arrived at the park quite early and we were heading down to some of the rides and there were metal barriers up so nobody could go through to the whole back of the part - this was at the Dr Seuss bit. Once they let people through, the rides were already full of people from accessing them earlier than us, so we had no choice but to queue.
My favourite was The VelociCoaster, which was amazing. We queued for around 30-45minutes, but once you get past the lockers - which are placed in the middle of the queue you go through then very speedy. We found it easier putting our bags in the Discover Centre lockers.
Afterwards, we decided to queue 3+ hours for the Hagrid’s motorbike ride, which was definitely worth the wait but there is next to no shade in the outside queue, once you get into the inside queue there is a room which seems like it would be the end of the queue, but it goes on and on through tunnels and multiple rooms. We witnessed a family of 3 skipping the queue by going up the fast past queue in the outside part of queuing and then pushing past people, underneath the railings when they weren’t watching, but they got kicked out later on.
Me and my sister went and queued for a so called ‘45 minute’ wait, as said in the queue time, for Ripsaw Falls which turned out to actually be a 120 minute wait. The woman who was operating the fast pass queue was extremely rude to us, she told us to ‘hold up’ whilst shutting the chain in front of us and let about 15 groups through from fast pass, and must have let about 3 groups of normal queuers through, what a joke. Once we got off that ride, we decided to go and eat in a nearby restaurant called ‘Comic strip cafe’ - located in Toon Lagoon, which we have ate in before, and the food is delicious. But the workers in their had no manners and the worst attitude ever. One man filled up our refillable cup and just stuck his hand out to my sister and said ‘take’, which is very rude.
After a while, we to visit the other park but returned to Islands Of Adventure via the Hogwarts train, which is such a fun experience. When we got back it started to rain for about an hour, then it calmed down. Everybody headed to the rides and a lot of us went and waited outside the Hagrid motorbike ride, and AGAIN we were all rudely told to go away by members of staff to go on the inside rides. What inside rides, the only 4 in the park which were already full from before?? I understand we can’t go on outdoor rides in bad weather, due to the rules but being told to go away is pure rude as we have paid to visit and their is no other cover free except underneath the shack by that ride.
Overall, we did enjoy every other day we visited here and didn’t experience what we did the first day here. All of us enjoy visiting Universal, as it is great fun and we definitely will be coming back again if we come to Orlando again.

If you want fun! You must do the Simulators! They are AWESOME! Simulators beat any rollercoaster here! Oh and don’t do the Men and Black Alien Attack. It was a let down.

During the Island of skulls trip it all stopped/ froze several times and when we made it back, we received no explanation / apology from staff.
There were also technical issues at the Hagrids Magical resulting in longer lines. At same place there were rats at the lockers.
So, despite a couple of fun rides, it was not as good an experience as expected

This park has some great ride for the slightly older child to adult. Big roller coasters, 3 and 4d rides. Very expensive for food and drink.

This is the place to be if you are a thrill seeker. The roller coaster are amazing, and will keep you going all day. The layout of the park is great and easy to get around. I highly recommend doing the Harry Potter area first, before the crowds show up. The Velicocoaster needs to be on your list as well. This ride will keep you screaming for more.

Great visit with great rollercoasters. The day we visited there was hardly any queues which was a bonus. Food and drink was not to expensive considering you are in a theme park. However if you are not a big ride fan, you will have more to do at Disney. Harry Potter area was the busiest out of the whole park, but the mobile app kept you up to date on ride queue times
If you are visiting from the UK and only want a 1 day ticket, id reccomend using Undercover Tourist as when I booked you could not buy 1 day tickets direct from Universal.

Visiting Universal next week. We plan to go April 8th. Family of 7. Two 9 year olds and three 17 year olds. Can we do both parks in one day (no fast pass) or should I get two day passes? It’s cheaper to go two days vs buy fast passes for one day. The way the park price hikes during spring break is shameful. Close to $300pp for two days. Fast pass for one day is $219 pp

Our parks are going to be fairly busy in April with Spring Break. If you would like to reduce the time spent waiting in line, the Universal Express Pass could help with this. I would recommend visiting for two days, so your party can enjoy most of our parks, if you won't be using the Universal Express Pass.

I was there at Xmas time it was kind of lame no real place to sit . Just standing in line you see them .

We were planning on just going to Islands of Adventures & Universal Studios tomorrow and buying tickets at the front gate. Can we do that? Or do we have to purchase tickets online? We prefer to buy at the gate but are not sure if there are park limits on amount of guests.

So sorry for the delayed response! We highly suggest purchasing park tickets ahead of time through our Mobile App or website for any easier process. Our ticket windows can, however, sell tickets though if available for that day! Hope this helps!

City Walk question. Is there live music on the stage at city walk this time of year?
