Lovely outdoor pool in a beautiful village. Although only 23 degrees outside, lightly windy and overcast, the pool was warm (28 degrees), which allowed for a lovely evening swim at 5pm. Very friendly staff and clientele. Children stayed in the pool for the whole 90 minutes, it was so pleasantly warm.

Visited the pool a few times in august and had a wonderful time, even though the weather wasn’t wonderful. The pool is heated, the staff are friendly and there’s a cafe to get drinks snacks and ice cream. Would highly recommend!

Echo the comments of Maria, exactly the same experience twice now. Called 155 times this morning, engaged every time except 3 times when I excitedly thought I had managed to get through only to be greeted by an answer phone every time and my messages were never returned. I contacted them on messenger with my concerns only to be met with thank you for your feedback but there is nothing we can do, keep persevering.I believe I may have been penalised and blocked from getting through because of this as on my husband's first attempt to contact them on a different phone he miraculously managed to reach them, but of course they were fully booked by then. Not very fair play and feeling extremely disappointed by the way I was treated after putting in such time and effort and after having an 80 minute wasted round trip to be turned away the time before.

Excellent day booked at 11.30am turned up for 1pm slot:)
Slightly running behind due to chlorine levels so got in at 1.15pm but still asked to
Leave at 3pm ( so shorter session) this was not a massive problem, but surprised wasn’t offered the extra time.
Had picnic and swam, lovely day and lovely pool.
Highly recommend the place

We hadnt been here before proabably because we usually have rubbish weather so wanted to take advantage of the hot summer. Unfortuantely when we arrived it was closed for public hire so had to make ourselves busy for an hour and half. While in queue we were offered a cold drink or water and use of the loo which helped! Once in we realised it was only small and the grass space to sit on was quite bumpy and had lota if ants but we made do. Pool was lovely abd kids very happy. Facilities limited to only one shower inside..there were 2 outside but didnt look like they were in use but tbh didnt ask. All in all we got we expected from an outdoor pool but next time will maybe take better blankets or fold up chairs. Will defo go back again. Parking is limited but ample parking outside hall a few hundreds yards up road. CASH ONLY!!!

I didn't know this place until now and is quite surprisingly pleasant. The pool is not as big but they only give certain amount of ticket so it don't get that crowded. We brought picnic which we ate after swimming by the village green. There was cricket playing that day when we visited, how wonderful, it's quintessentially English.

Booking system is a joke. I tried almost 60 times to book from 11am on the day I wanted to go on redial (as per website instructions)... no queueing system pot luck, either rings or engaged. Got through once and left a message requesting to book the first afternoon session of 1.15pm with my contact details.. no call back so couldn’t prebook
Turned up an hour before 1.15 session due to start. Queued only to be told when I arrived at the front that only 40 people were let in from queue, so still didn’t get in. Staff were clueless, no information given to large queues outside the door about how many they were letting in etc ..very hot temperatures, lots of unhappy children. Was recommended this pool but left very disappointed but lack of organisation and the unfair booking system. Won’t be going back, complete rubbish

We got married there some years back
Now the kids love coming to the pool and using the swings etc on the adjacent cricket pitch
Hard to beat on a hot summers day
Minor negative the water was a bit murky the other day late on - but I think it had been very very busy during the course of the day

Set in a pretty village with lots of green space. Took my children here 20 years ago! Now re visiting with grandchildren. A little expensive and changing areas could do with regular mopping during day. Sun shades broken on the few tables available. The pool itself is nice and warm but pool attendants don't clean between swims sufficiently resulting in hair bands food and hair floating on day of visit. It's a shame as it's a lovely recourse for the local area
