Best fishing trip ever! Captain Jacob is awesome! Family oriented ❤️. Highly Recommend 100%. Promise you will catch fish and have a great time.

Had a great inshore fishing trip on the water with Captain Jacob! He took me and my sons out on St. Patrick’s Day. Jacob really knows his way around the water. We aren’t expert fishermen, and he was patient in showing us the ropes. After an hour or so, everyone was baiting and casting well. By lunchtime we had caught a mess of trout, sheepshead, and redfish. He had us laughing at some of his stories, and at ourselves. Back at the marina, he cleaned them and sent us off with three nice bags of filets - we’ve been feasting on them ever since. We’re gonna head back in the autumn to experience fishing in another season. When we do, we will call Jacob.

Captain Jacob is the man! My sister and I booked his charter for a day of inshore fishing. My sister had very little experience fishing before today and I was nervous about what to expect. Well she made me eat my words thanks to Capt.Jacob. He had us BOTH on fish almost instantly. His top notch boat, gear, attitude, and knowledge of these waters had us catching fish all day long. He was patient, kind, a great teacher, and most of all lots of FUN! The trip was above and beyond my expectations because this Venice native knows his stuff!! We highly recommend Capt. Jacob and Salty Marsh Charters.
We also had the pleasure of meeting his wife and touring their house boat which offers ALL inclusive trips. They have AMAZING accommodations which I highly suggest checking out! This is the ticket for the ultimate Venice fishing experience. 🙏♥️🎣

Captain Jacob led our two fishing trips, which my brother and I had arranged as a 75th birthday present for our father. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jacob’s knowledge and appreciation of one the most special fishing spots in the country was evident even before we left the dock. We caught a lot of fish. Importantly, though, he made it possible tor us to give our dad an adventure he will never forget. We also stayed for two nights on the houseboat, which served our needs perfectly.

We had a great time with Jacob! We caught the limit in snapper and finished the day with some good reds. He is engaging and works hard to deliver a great overall experience.

Capt. Jake and his wife Courtney are the best hosts you could ask for. The food was excellent and was never left hungry. Even had foods i had would never had tried if it were not for them. We had a total of four boats and every one of the Captains/Guides were top notch! Jake and Courtney take pride in their history and heritage in Venice, LA and we are grateful for them sharing their home with us. Beautiful country, excellent fishing, excellent views, excellent food, and memories we will never forget. We will be back for sure!!!

It was awesome....I don't really fish to much but I felt like a pro ...probably 1 of the best fishing trip I've ever been on ...I'll definitely be back

If you’re looking for a great fishing trip give Captain Jacob a call.We have been out with him on two occasions and had a great time.Take your rain gear and put it on when he says. “Look at that cloud 😎 Great job and we will see you again!!!

I’ve done charter fishing trips all over the Southern US and Jacob at Salty Marsh is the best. He’s friendly and easy going and great with kids. He knows the area and was able to put us on fish the whole morning out. And if you stay at the cabin, he picks you up at your back door! Highly recommended!
