Very disappointed at the quality of the boat rented. There was trash under all the seat cushions where the lifejackets were. The boats were missing safety doors making it unsafe for small kids on the boat. several seats were crushed and were unable to be used. Altogether a bad experience especially for the price.

We rented a pontoon boat on Friday. The boat was extremely slow, only moved 6 miles per hour (we had someone with a boating license driving and still got a boat with a 9.9 motor - horrible). Also there was NO working gauges on the boat. We were told to stay within a certain perimeter, which not being as familiar with the area and being given a map that was not easy to read, we went outside of the perimeter. This was an honest mistake and they charged us an additional $260 over the already $500 price and made us go in an hour early. I would not recommend to anyone, we will NEVER go back and will make sure we spread the word how horrible our experience disappointing.

Rented a pontoon boat to have a fun family day but it was nothing fun about it. We took the boat out and 45 minutes into the trip the boat kept stalling out. The help came out and said I had run aground and that it was a safety feature which makes it stall out. He got it started and and 15 minutes later, stalls out again. Brought out another boat and I was told they knew the boat was sucking in air which made it stall. They brought us another boat which was even nastier. The help said not to shut it down because it was a new motor. Ran aground due to low tide (where I was told I could crab) and would not start. They had to use a screw driver to get it started. Got back an hour later then are due time to take back all the down time and the young lady in the office looked upset. Her body language spoke for itself. I would not rent here ever again.

Rented a 24 foot pontoon boat for a few hours, as soon as we saw the boat it was borderline disgusting, the seat were ripped, the gauges on the boat didn't work. We started off our trip with the boat stalling and not starting back up, after waiting for their crew to come help were basically lost an hour of our time, once we figured out the throttle for the boat we were able to finally enjoy ourselves fishing and crabbing. Additionally, they gave us a pole that had several broken guide rings and we had to exchange it and we also received a pole that barely had any line on it. Poor quality control on their part. On the other side their employees were fairly helpful and nice and seemed knowledgeable.

We had boat rentals before but the first here and with my niece and nephew for their birthday. It was nice being told we could call for bug spray or anything, but when we did, it was like pulling teeth. I never thought calling for help would be such an inconvenience, but it was like driving a bumping car. Not relaxing. We went back for food and decided to have them check it again. Also, the radio didn’t work, which was in the flyer. Oh my, we pull in and wow, it is not professional when we are told to get off the boat; we don’t know how to drive. A refund will be given get your stuff you’re done. I noted this is not good business and can result in poor reviews. The unprofessionalism continued with love bad $*# reviews please give one. Can we say shock? Never had this and continued into the office. So, basically a celebration was being thrown off the boat as we were sitting there.
The boat was old. Was even told the motor had to be replaced and the seats were next, which you can see. Will never go back and don’t recommend it.

We rented before from here and had a very good time but we grounded our boat because of an extreme low tide. We also felt that the boat was so slow that we could have walked faster then the max speed. I have since found out that the boat must stay under 10 HP unless you take the safety boat class. So, I took the course and we rented again. The boat was @$300.00. I’m sorry to say but it was beat up really bad and looked dirty. I feel for the money, the boat should always be in great shape. This was held together with zip ties, ripped seats and dirty carpets. Once again we grounded the boat while still abiding by the map that was given us. I feel that not enough information is given about the tide changes. Twice now we learned the hard way and it is down right scary being out there with huge boats zipping by you at high speeds. I don't know that we will rent again as it’s supposed to be relaxing and it is anything but. We caught some crabs and not one bite on the fishing lines. It was a nice family day for the passengers but for me and my husband boat drivers, it was tense and nerve wracking for us trying the not to hit bottom out while moving ever so slowly (even with a more powerful boat, it was still very slow compared to all the boats zipping by you. Just too much drama for me. The condition of the boat was disappointing.

Rented 50hp pontoon boat for 12 people. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dock hands made sure we knew where we were going with the map. Its really simple to get out to the bay for crabbing or fishing. Easy channel markers to get back into marina. They gave us pointers on where the crabs were. We brought our own traps and a net but they gave us another net because we had so many people. I would recommend this place for anyone who Is looking to rent in and around the wildwoods. The restaurant there is also very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We rented the 50HP pontoon for 4 hours on a windy Monday morning in June. The dockhands graciously helped us load our boat and also gave us a quick briefing on navigating the backwaters of the Wildwoods. They said to call them if we need anything; they would even bring fishing bait out to us if we needed it. On our way out to the Cape May bridge, our motor stopped working. We called the marina and they said they would send another boat out for us. About 30 minutes later, two boats pulled up alongside us and we moved all our gear and ourselves over to a new functioning pontoon. They were very quick in responding to us. These people really know what they are doing and are very friendly. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking to rent watercraft. We did not eat or drink there, so we can't comment on the restaurant/bar.

15 sept 2017, Awesome deck hand, really nice rentals, they have everything you need.
We are 2 old lady on a girls weekend, and Francis was a great help. Very easy going. I've come to South Dock the past 2 years, they have updated everything. They've add a bar, it looks like a great place to hang.

Absolutely magical. Your place was perfect. Your staff was excellent. Dalton was superb. Between the time waiting to get on the boat to the shop inventory, to the thoroughness of the map and ease of help (if needed)...you were 100% top notch. Thank you for being a part of a great memory for my family and friends. I would highly recommend this place. We rented a pontoon. It was great!!
