I joined the 17-day "Island Interlude Tour" as a newbie and I absolutely loved it! Everything was planned out down to the slightest detail. BMW motorcycles in top-notch condition, multiple daily route-options to choose from, GPS training for exploring islands' hidden gems, support van for luggage-free rides, luxury hotels with high-end amenities, group activities, tailored meals to accommodate special dietary preferences (vegan, gluten/lactose free) and the list goes on. Rob and Gretchen are, undoubtedly, pros in what they're doing and such a joy to be around! Always happy to share funny stories and travel memories making everyone feel at home. Lefty (fleet manager/van driver) is also highly respected for his professionalism. Is it a simple adjustment to your bike or tips for a smoother ride, he is definitely your guy. And if you love to roam around the globe don't miss out on having a chat with him. He is an avid world traveler and has a lot to share with.

Our first Beach's tour was the '24 Island Interlude. Beach's was highly recommended by our riding buddy (he rode with them 2x before). Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
This was not our first European moto trip. We enjoyed Rob B’s concept of offering a choice of 3 routes each evening. You choose what suits you. All were preloaded into a BMW Nav6 (Garmin). The roads, scenery, food, wine and other tour participants combined to give a top shelf experience.

Rob and Gretchen Beach, along with "Lefty" do an outstanding job with every aspect of their motorcycle tours. They have been providing these tours for decades; their experience, and attention to detail is unmatched (I have tried 3 other companies). My experience with a Beach adventure in 2023 was so good that I returned for another (June 2024), and I will return for another in 2025. If you are considering a motorcycle tour in Europe, you cannot choose a better company than Beach's.

This is the 3rd Beach tour I've been on. I whole heartedly recommend them.
They handle all the details and let me concentrate on riding and having fun.
The hotels we stay in, the food at the hotels and the motorcycles we ride are all really
top notch.
As I said I have just done my 3rd tour, but I'm already planning for my 4th.

There are "motorcycle tours" and there are motorcycle tours! Beach's falls into the latter category. When you line up a dozen motorcycles and parade them through the Alps, all stopping at the same sites, all eating at the same places, all experiencing the same things, you might as well put them on a bus. There is no other motorcycle tour company that will give you a brand new BMW motorbike, load it with a state of the art GPS with several different routes to get you to the next night's hotel, provide you with a tour book of with everything to see and do on whatever route you choose, and say "See you at 1730hrs for dinner!" Beach's allows you to decide how you want to tour, what you want to see, when you want to stop, where you want to eat and, most importantly, who you want to ride with. Loner? Hate groups of people? Beach's. Touring with a riding buddy with whom you have a great riding compatibility with? Beach's. Have not idea where to go or what to do? Beach's. Want to take your own route to the next hotel? Beach's. Want to leave at 0800hrs and arrive just in time to sit down to dinner? Beach's. Want to ride for 3 hours and get to the hotel bar early? Beach's. Want to get up at 0630hrs and ride Stelvio pass before breakfast? Beach's.
No one does it like they do. And with 50+ years of experience doing it, Rob and Gretchen know what they're doing. And they will make it their mission to make sure you have the trip of a lifetime. There is a reason folks go back year after year after year.
And those other "motorcycle tour" companies? Yeah, you'll likely pass them on some twisty mountain route while you're riding YOUR ride, not theirs.

My husband and I took the "Classic Alpine Adventure Tour" in June 2024. It was his 4th tour with Beach's and my first. We rode 2 up and had the THRILL OF A LIFETIME together! The scenery was majestic, the routes were incredible and Rob and Gretchen are truly the "special sauce" that makes this tour company so unique. A family business with a tremendous heart and passion for motorcycling at its core. After the tour ended, my husband asked whether I would do another tour again and I said "Of course and when please!?!?!?" Whether on your own, with a riding partner, or with a group of family/friends, I highly recommend taking a tour with Beach's Motorcycle Adventures. Like so many of us, you will want to repeat it over and over.

My wife and I recently travelled to New Zealand for the Beach’s Motorcycle Adventures three week ride through the South Island. It was an epic adventure, which we will always remember. The curated routes which Rob Beach provided took us through some of the most naturally beautiful and scenic places on earth. Rob was assisted by local resident Al Walker, who consistently provides us with very helpful tips and insider information. The hotels and dinners which Gretchen Beach worked for the group were spot-on, and provided for a lively venue each evening during the group dinners. The Beach’s are well known for the spectacular European rides they host each summer. This trip to New Zealand adds to their reputation and resume. Well done!!!

Toured the Alps with Rob and Gretchen Beach (and the other tour members) on a BMW motorcycle, June 2023. An outstanding experience. Extremely well-planned, first-class service, very nice accommodations, great meals.
I have used other tour providers for similar tours (Europe and the UK), and Beach's is FAR better in every way.
Beach's experience, dedication to providing a premium experience was demonstrated before, during, and after my tour. I highly recommend them.

Our first trip to Europe and we can't think of a better way to see the countries that we saw. A most amazing trip and we can't wait to do it again! Highly recommended!!

Greetings. Wondering if you need to be a REALLY experienced rider to go on any of these Beach's Motorcycle Adventure tours?
I have been riding about 2 years & tend to be a bit more cautious on sharp and/or blind curves --
and my last trip in Colorado -- they kidded me that I looked like Jim Carey on the mini-bike in the movie Dumb & Dumber.
I'm a bit better now -- but still significantly slower than the experienced riders & I really don't want to slow everybody
else down.
Also -- is there any off-road riding (unpaved roads off the beaten path) -- or pretty well all main paved roads? Is there a
lot of traffic typically on these roads?

Hi Carol, First let me apologize for this delayed answer as we were not aware there was a question page here. We are keeping an eye on it now!
Experience isn't as important as flexibility and a willingness to learn. Being cautious is a handy trait for motorcyclists.
The Alps are a zillion sharp and blind corners. The roads are much tighter than those in Colorado. And narrower as well. So simply going slow is not sufficient 'caution.'
It is necessary to be aggressive while riding in Europe. Not fast, simply aggressive. It is a bit like skiing - when we lean on the back of the skis and relax bad things happen. When we dig the edges in and ski with purpose, it works so much better.
So, simply put, if you are ready to get aggressive and learn how to ride that bike, the Alps aren't too much. If you can be flexible, learn new techniques, and adapt to a variety of different conditions, you will be fine.
If sticking with the 'tried-and-true' skill set, but doing it slower is your answer, then it will be a difficult ride.
Rob Beach, our main guide, is also a coach who has been teaching riding since the late 80s. He is available throughout the tour to help you refine your skills and improve your ability.
On the central European itineraries no gravel riding is required. The roads are all paved. Occasionally there is a dirt or gravel drive to a hotel or restaurant.
