Beautiful setting and lovely appointed rooms and great furniture. Our visit in October 2023 coincided with renovation which might b e on for another year or so. Still worth seeing.

de l'autoroute le château est magnifique mais déception il était en travaux !
la visite malgré les travaux et les échafaudages était payante 5 euros certes modique somme mais c'est ennuyeux pour les photos ! Par contre le village est très joli, des restaurants aux prix très corrects, à voir.

Castello di chiara matrice medievale e che ancora oggi, lascia trasparire la vocazione prettamente difensiva. Visita libera con depliant in italiano. Da notare la cappella e le stanze al piano superiore. Calcolate circa un'ora per la visita.

Situé sur un promontoire rocheux, ce château fort transformé au cours des siècles a déjà fait et continue de faire l’objet d’une rénovation soignée. Les bâtiments présentent une grande variété architecturale et les intérieurs sont de bons exemples des goûts du XVeme au XVIIIeme siècle.
Situated on a rocky promontory, this fortified castle, which has been transformed over the centuries, has undergone and continues to undergo careful renovation. The buildings display a wide variety of architectural styles, and the interiors are fine examples of the tastes of the 15th to 18th centuries.

Peu de pièce à visiter .. je reste mitigée sur cette visite de ce château. La guide était bien mais trop d explications dès le départ et ça paraît interminable cette visite

Il villaggio arroccato in cui si trova il castello è molto carino ma il castello ha visto tempi migliori. Per metà in ristrutturazione, alcune sale ristrutturate con dubbio gusto e alcune originali visitabili ma con arredi, per essere generosi, molto scarni. Onestamente la Francia offre molto di meglio nel settore castelli e affini.

Joli petit village, le château mérite une visite. La vue sur la vallée est magnifique. Vous trouverez des petites boutiques d’artistes, brocante et quelques jolis restaurants.

Magnifique village médiéval. Déambuler dans les ruelles, observer les différentes maisons et leurs explications est un vrai plaisir.
Il faut bien sûr visiter le château de préférence avec un guide pour mieux comprendre son histoire (la nôtre était au top!).

Very interesting little castle with a small village around it. Unfortunately they don’t have any guards at the parkings. French don’t seem to care how or where they park. A invecil parked in the middle of the parking lot and other idiots too far into the road so no one could go back or forth! Knowing how this idiots park, you would think they would police the parking lots. Waited forever until a couple of this ignorant jerks left to be able to leave !

A l'entrée du village, il existe un parking de 32 places, ensuite, à l'intérieur du village il existe d'autres parkings mais plus petits

We will be traveling to chateauneuf-en-auxois from Reims. Catch a train from Reims to Dijon then Dijon to which city? I can't seem to find bus or train info to this area. Thanks.

We visited Chateauneuf-en-Auxois this past summer but had a rental car. The area is very rural. Have you checked with the tourist bureau in Dijon or Beune to see if they can give you some info? Visiting this town was truly the highlight of our trip to Burgundy. I hope you are able to get there.
