There are just 8 rows of seats, so everyone feels like they have a great view. Chairs are larger than standard and quite comfy with plenty of leg room. Grab a very reasonably priced drink before the show or a snack at intermission (no food allowed in the seating area). Quick to enter and depart. Easy to get to. Plenty of free parking.

Did not expect such great performances in such an out of the way location.
Seating and facilities are first class.
Seating layout is such that all seats have a good view.
Staff and volunteers are wonderful and friendly.
They have a snack bar with wine and beer too.

I went to see "Don't Dress for Dinner", a hilarious Mark Camolletti farce. It was performed at a breakneck pace by 6 very talented actors, and I laughed myself silly. Highly recommended.

Just enjoyed a matinee performance of "Don't Dress for Dinner". Wonderful comedy performed by six actors. I think Suzette the cook, played by AnnaMarie Lea, was the most entertaining of the cast. This theater seems to find its strength in comedy.
The theater is cosy and offers an intimate venue. There is a small refreshment area which offers wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks at intermission at a very reasonable price. Washroom are very clean.
An easy drive from Ottawa this theater offers a welcome summertime diversion. If going to a matinee go early and pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the nearby St. Laurence river park.

I have been to the Upper Canada Playhouse in Morrisburg over the years on at least a dozen occasions. I was first attracted to their plays with local significance: on the coming of the Seaway and the "Lost Villages" and on Dr. Mahlon Locke. While they have recently concentrated on commercially successful plays, the quality is very high and several ["On a First Name Basis"; "The Christmas Express"] were absolutely superb.

My wife and I caught a performance of Plaza Suite this summer and really enjoyed it. The acting, sets, and costumes were excellent and the staff did a great job of helping everyone find their seats and get some refreshments during the intermission. Highly recommended to make the trip out to Morrisburg to see a play, and maybe do some shopping or dining in town while you are there.

What an awesome experiance a most enjoyable walk back in time was enjoyed here both by myself and my Brother. We spent 5 hours here and it was well worth every penny!

We are season ticket holders to the Uppers Canada Playhouse and silver supporters since we moved to the SDG area. The Playhouse offers a great theatre experience and great value. The plays are typically fun productions comical in nature. There are no bad seats in the theatre. I would highly recommend going to one of their productions.

We drove from Ottawa and it was less than an hour. The Neil Simon comedy was hilarious. A perfect short getaway staying at the McIntosh Inn, eating at the Orchard, and taking in a show. Can’t go wrong.

Was there for the first time this past weekend July 21-22, 2018. Saw NICKERS, a comedy that a friend "Alanis Peart" is in. Kept me awake and made me laugh. Bit far of a drive from the westend of Toronto.
