We had a brilliant canoeing session led by Harry on the 17th January, and we had a blast! We felt capable to take to the water on the river Beaulieu and well looked-after the entire time. We learnt about lots of local history, some of the wildlife around, and generally really enjoyed our time in the water.
A mug of hot chocolate while we were moored up halfway through was a real treat on a chilly day!
Harry’s a great activity leader and we were grateful for his time.

I’d never done kayaking before and was more than a little nervous. But New Forest Activities were fantastic. When I phoned to enquire they reassured me and the instructor on the day, Tom, was great! We had a lovely paddle on the Beaulieu river on a beautiful December day. I’ll definitely book again!

Really excellent canoeing trip with my 2 children yesterday. Harry was a superb guide stopping to give us breaks and some interesting facts and history regarding the River. The canoe itself was stable and enjoyable to paddle along in-was a very serene and pleasant trip. Would highly recommend.

I'm glad that you mentioned the canoe was 'stable' as I think that is a big worry for people looking into booking but they really are sturdy and great to learn to paddle in! We are pleased you had such a great time with Harry and hopefully we will see you again this summer!

A 2 hour Canoe Safari down the Beaulieu River on a beautiful summer’s day. What a fantastic experience, all really safely run by our friendly guides Harry and Jemma. We’ll definitely be back again.

We're s family of 3 and booked to do archery. Harry was our instructor and welcomed us and showed us the facilities. There is a farm shop next door and toilets on site. Harry gave us safety instructions balanced with the right level of humour. After getting used to the equipment Harry made things interesting by getting us to play several archery games. We had a very enjoyable time and my only criticism was, we were teamed up with another family of 4. There were only 6 targets available so each family had to take it turns to do the activities while the others sat and watched.

Hi David, thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your Archery with Harry. Sharing targets can happen with families depending on numbers in the group, we do find it nice that you get to cheer each other on and share the experience with others as well as learn the skill. We will certainly take the feedback on board though as we do our very best to make sure everyone gets there fair share on the Archery range!

We had a marvellous time kayaking. The bird life on the Beaulieu River was simply terrific - even just paddling up to the Beaulieu bridge, we saw cormorants, lapwings, mute swans and a grey heron. Seeing them from water level gives a whole new perspective. We look forward greatly to returning.

We did the Kayaking down the river Beaulie and had an amazing time. We went in 3 man and 2 man kayaks and had an instructor called Mia. She was so lovely, enthusiastic and informed us with many facts about the river Beaulie and the surrounding areas. As well as patiently helping and instructing on how and when to paddle correctly down and up the river. We had lots of fun - can't recommend enough.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our family Paddle in our Kayaks. Mia was an excellent and knowledgeable guide to the local area, showing us samphire and curlews. A great experience even though it was a dull day. Thank you

Big thanks to Mia and Jemma at New Forest Activities for their enthusiastic welcome and energy. I took my 9yo for a fun canoe paddle on the Beaulieu River as a last minute activity. And we both enjoyed getting on the water and paddling together for her first time. I'm a wheelchair user, which was taken naturally and without fuss by Mia. Perhaps helpful to know: I'm able to do a floor to chair transfer, and used my vicair sports cushion and the whole thing was easy, launching from a small pontoon.

We took my sister in law who had never canoed before so three of us shared a canoe for her birthday gift. We had perfect weather and Tom was an excellent instructor. We had a mixed group of canoes and kayaks. A couple of the highlights were Tom pointing out the wild samphire and oysters along the way. The paddle should have taken an hour to get to Bucklers Hard but as we were so lucky with the weather and lack of wind we had plenty of time to just chill and enjoy the experience. Tom was full of lots of useful knowledge and information and was very professional. At all times we felt completely safe under his supervision. It was the perfect way to spend a morning and we would recommend this for anyone.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review of your summer canoeing experience! Our instructors are fantastic if we do say so ourselves - and make first time paddlers feel at ease instantly which is something we are proud of. The main office is in the centre of Beaulieu, just up the road from the post office, on the other side of the road. That is where bike hire starts from, and bookings etc.. You go down to the edge of the river, on the way to Bucklers Hard to pick up the canoe tour. 15 min walk or a short car trip.

It's piece full, all you can here is the perfect nature when your walking. It's an amazing day out for kids/adults. I'd highly recommend you to go it's perfect :)
